INTERVIEW
Վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հարցազրույց է տվել The New York Times, որում անդրադարձել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի դեմ Ադրբեջանի սանձազերծած պատերազմին:
«Նախագահ Թրամփի ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդականի հետ հինգշաբթի կայացած հեռախոսազրույցի ժամանակ ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը մի նուրբ հարց բարձրացրեց. ինչո՞ւ ոչինչ չի ձեռնարկվում, որպեսզի Միացյալ Նահանգների երկարամյա դաշնակից Թուրքիային թույլ չտրվի ամերիկյան արտադրության F-16 ինքնաթիռներ օգտագործել հայերի դեմ: Պարոն Փաշինյանի կոչն Ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդական Ռոբերտ Օ’Բրայենին արվեց Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում ծանր մարտերի բռնկումից շատ չանցած:
Պարոն Փաշինյանը մեր հեռախոսային հարցազրույցի ժամանակ ասաց, որ հակամարտությունը շատ ավելի վտանգավոր հարթություն է տեղափոխվել Ադրբեջանի օգտին Թուրքիայի անմիջական ռազմական միջամտության պատճառով:
Հակամարտությունը տագնապներ է առաջացնում՝ կապված ավելի լայնածավալ պատերազմի վտանգի հետ: ԱՄՆ-ը հայտնվել է անհարմար վիճակում, քանի որ քաղաքականապես ազդեցիկ հայկական սփյուռքը տեսնում է, թե ինչպես է ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ Թուրքիան F-16 ինքնաթիռներ օգտագործում հօգուտ Հայաստանի թշնամիների:
«Միացյալ Նահանգները, – ասաց պարոն Փաշինյանը, – պետք է բացատրի, թե արդյոք այդ F-16-ները տրվել են խաղաղ գյուղերն ու խաղաղ բնակչությանը ռմբակոծելու համար»: Նա նշեց, որ պարոն Օ’Բրայենը «լսել և ընդունել է» իր մտահոգությունները:
Պարոն Փաշինյանը հրաժարվեց ասել, թե արդյոք Հայաստանը պատրաստ է հանձնել որևէ տարածք հնարավոր խաղաղ կարգավորման դեպքումՙ պնդելով, որ այդ հարցին պետք է պատասխանի ոչ թե ինքը, այլ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ղեկավարությունը:
Պարոն Փաշինյանի խոսքով, Հայաստանի համար ներկայիս մարտերը, որոնք սկսվել են սեպտեմբերի 27-ին՝ ամիսներ տևած լարվածությունից հետո, «գոյաբանական սպառնալիք» են ներկայացնում Թուրքիայի միջամտության պատճառով: Նա հիշեցրել է, որ Թուրքիայի նախորդը՝ Օսմանյան կայսրությունն Առաջին համաշխարհային պատերազմի ավարտին սպանեց մոտ 1,5 միլիոն հայերի: ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսը և շատ երկրներ հայտարարեցին, որ այդ սպանդը «ցեղասպանություն» էր, ինչը սակայն Թուրքիան չի ընդունում»:
