Դավիթի հերոսության մասին մենք էլ պատահական իմացանք, առաջինը մեծ եղբայրս համացանցում կարդաց, հետո մեզ հայտնեց, այդ պահն անբացատրելի էր, հուզվեցինք ու հետո խոսեցինք իր հետ, նա էլ տեղյակ չէր. նա էլ անակնկալի եկավ: Այս մասին Tert.am-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց հակառակորդի «Օրբիտեր» տեսակի ԱԹՍ խոցած կրտսեր սերժանտ Դավիթ Ղումաշյանի քույրը՝ Աննա Ղումաշյանը:

Հերոսական արարք կատարած Դավիթ Ղումաշյանի քույրը նշեց, որ պատերազմի առաջին օրվանից տեղյակ էին, որ Դավիթն առաջնագծում է: «Զանգել է, ասել է, որ շատ լավ է, որ չանհանգստանանք, ամեն ինչ լավ է լինելու, որ Աստված իր և բոլոր զինվորների հետ է»:
Քրոջ խոսքով՝ Դավիթը շատ սիրված տղա է, շատ տաղանդավոր, ընկերասեր, բոլորին օգնող երիտասարդ է և նրանից նման հերոսությունը սպասելի էր: Եղբորս կփոխանցեմ, որ լինի ուժեղ, անկոտրում, որ այս պատերազմը շուտ վերջանա, ու գա տուն: Ու միշտ հիշի, որ իրեն շատ ենք սիրում և անհամբեր սպասում ենք իր վերադարձին:
