«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է․

«Այսօր Վաշինգտոնում կկայանա ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Մայք Պոմպեոյի առանձին հանդիպումները Հայաստանի եւ Ադրբեջանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարներ Զոհրաբ Մնացականյանի եւ Ջեյհուն Բայրամովի հետ: Բնականաբար, քննարկման հիմնական թեման լինելու է հրադադարի ռեժիմի հաստատման հետ կապված հարցերը:

Ընդ որում, երեկ լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարը հայտնել է, որ բարդ է իրավիճակը ոչ միայն ԼՂ հակամարտության գոտում, այլ նաեւ դիվանագիտական ասպարեզում:

Նա իր գործընկերների հետ շարունակում է պնդել՝ կրակի դադարեցումը միակ ճիշտ ուղին է, իսկ երրորդ երկրներն էլ պետք է հեռու մնան հակամարտությանը ներգրավվելուց:

Հիշեցնենք, որ հոկտեմնբերի 10-ին հակամարտող կողմերը եկան հրադադարի համաձայնության Մոսկվայում ՌԴ արտգործնախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովի միջնորդությամբ շուրջ 11 ժամ տեւած հանդիպման արդյունքում, սակայն հրադադարի ռեժիմն այդպես էլ չպահպանվեց: Իսկ մոտ մեկ շաբաթ անց հայտարարված հրադադարի երկրորդ փորձը ժամեր անց կրկին տապալվեց:

«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի հետ զրույցում Հուդզոնի ռազմաքաղաքական հետազոտությունների կենտրոնի (ԱՄՆ) վերլուծաբան Ռիչարդ Վեյթցը, խոսելով սահմանում ընթացող պատերազմի մասին, ընդգծում է՝ չպետք է մոռանալ, որ խոսքը գնում է մարդասիրական հրադադարի մասին, այլ ոչ հաստատված ընդհանուր զինադադարի:

Ընդ որում, վերլուծաբանի խոսքով, հրադադարը չպահպանելու պատճառն ադրբեջանական կողմի ցանկությունն է՝ իր վերահսկողության տակ առնել հնարավորինս շատ տարածքներ»:
