Այն, ինչ տեղի է ունենում Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում Թուրքիայի ներկայությամբ՝ վերջինիս կողմից հայերի նկատմամբ վարվող ցեղասպան քաղաքականության շարունակությունն է: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ, այդ մասին հնդկական WION հեռուստաընկերության եթերում նշել է վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը։
«Դուք գիտեք, որ 20-րդ դարի սկզբին՝ մասնավորապես, 1915 թվականին Օսմանյան Թուրքիայում տեղի է ունեցել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, որն աշխարհի բազմաթիվ երկրների կողմից արդեն իսկ պաշտոնապես ճանաչված է, և որի հետևանքով էթնիկ զտում է տեղի ունեցել շատ մեծ տարածքների վրա: Եվ հիմա իմ գնահատականն այն է, որ Թուրքիան 100 տարի անց վերադարձել է Հարավային Կովկաս՝ հայերի նկատմամբ ցեղասպան քաղաքականությունը շարունակելու համար: Սա ունի կոնկրետ պրագմատիկ նպատակ: Որովհետև Հարավային Կովկասի հայերը վերջին խոչընդոտն են Թուրքիայի համար՝ իր իմպերիալիստական քաղաքականությունը դեպի հարավ, արևելք և հարավ-արևելք շարունակելու համար: Եվ այս համատեքստում, այո՛, Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ժողովուրդը գտնվում է գոյութենական վտանգի ներքո, և մենք կարծում ենք, որ հարցի լուծման ամենաճիշտ և պրագմատիկ ձևը «անջատում հանուն փրկության» (remedial secession) բանաձևի կիրառումն է՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հայության անվտանգությունն ապահովելու համար»,- ասել է վարչապետը:
Հարցին՝ արդյոք կարելի՞ է ասել, որ Հայաստանը հայտնվել է Թուրքիայի և Ռուսաստանի միջև ընթացող միջնորդավորված, անուղղակի պատերազմի թատերաբեմում, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը բացասական պատասխան է տվել։ «Ոչ, ես չեմ կարող այդպիսի բան ասել, որովհետև Ռուսաստանը ներգրավված չէ պատերազմում, և Ռուսաստանը հանդես է գալիս որպես ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահող երկիր: ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խումբն այն միակ միջազգայնորեն ճանաչված ձևաչափն է, որտեղ պետք է քննարկվի և լուծվի Ղարաբաղի հարցը: Ռուսաստանը, այո՛, Հայաստանի ռազմավարական գործընկերն է, բայց նա պատերազմի մեջ ներգրավված չէ և ավելի շատ ներգրավված է որպես միջնորդ ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահության Ղարաբաղի հարցը կարգավորելու և տարածաշրջանում խաղաղություն և կայունություն հաստատելու գործում»,- շեշտել է Փաշինյանը:
