Նյու Յորքում հարյուրավոր մարդիկ են մասնակցել Ջոն Լենոնի հիշատակին նվիրված համերգին

Մի քանի հարյուր մարդ Է մասնակցել դեկտեմբերի 8-ին Նյու Յորքի Կենտրոնական զբոսայգում կայացած հանպատրաստից համերգին՝ նվիրված The Beatles լեգենդար խմբի հիմնադիրներից մեկի՝ Ջոն Լենոնի սպանության օրվա 35-րդ տարեդարձին:
Բրիտանական խմբի երգերը առավոտից մինչեւ ուշ գիշեր «Մորու բացատներ» հիշատակի խճանկարային պաննոյի վրա կատարել են «լիվերպուլյան քառյակի» երկրպագուները, գլխավորապես քաղաքի փողոցային կատարողների թվից: Նրանք երգել են առանց միկրոֆոնների եւ գործնականում այլ գործիքներ չեն օգտագործվել, բացի կիթառներից:
Հավաքվածների մեջ եղել են ամենատարբեր տարիքի մարդիկ՝ դպրոցականներից մինչեւ տարեցներ, որոնք հաճույքով ձայնակցում Էին, իսկ շատերը՝ նաեւ պարում: Ողջ օրը հուշահամալիրին ծաղիկներ Էին դնում, իսկ մութն ընկնելուց հետո ոմանք մոմեր են վառել:
«Մորու բացատները» գտնվում են «Դակոտա» անվանումը կրող շենքի դիմաց, որտեղ ապրում Էին Լենոնը եւ նրա կինը՝ Յոկո Օնոն: Այդ տան մոտ 1980 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 8-ին 25-ամյա ամերիկացի Մարկ Չեմպենը երաժշտին սպանեց թիկունքին արձակված հինգ կրակոցներով:
Ներկայում Չեմպենը ցմահ պատիժ Է կրում Նյու Յորքի նահանգի արեւմտյան մասում գտնվող խիստ ռեժիմի բանտում, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
