Իրանը կրկին լուրջ մտահոգություն է հայտնել երկրի հյուսիսային սահմաններում ահաբեկիչների ներկայության առնչությամբ։ «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ այս մասին Իրանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարության պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Սաիդ Խաթիբզադեն հայտարարել է իր ամենշաբաթյա մամուլի ասուլիսին:
«Իրանի փոխարտգործնախարար Սեյեդ Աբբաս Արաղչին տարածաշրջանային այցերի ժամանակ զգուշացրել է երկրի հյուսիսային սահմաններին ահաբեկիչների ներկայության մասին: Մենք մինչ այժմ էլ անհանգիստ ենք այդ հարցի կապակցությամբ»,- նշել է Խաթիբզադեն և հավելել, որ այդ հարցով իրենք ոչ ոքի հետ հաշվի չեն նստելու:
Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ-ում ՀՀ դեսպան Վարուժան Ներսեսյանն իր պաշտոնական թվիթերյան էջում գրել է, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի պաշտպանական ուժերը մարտի դաշտից երկու օտարերկրյա ահաբեկիչ են գերեվարել:
«Թուրքիան և Ադրբեջանը այլևս չենք կարող թաքնվել ստերի հետևում: Նրանք ահաբեկչության պետական հովանավորներ են»,-գրել է դիվանագետն ու գրառմանը կից Արցախի անկախության ճանաչման հեշթեգ օգտագործել:
Ավելի վաղ հաղորդվել էր, որ Արցախի ՊԲ-ի ստորաբաժանումների կողմից մարտական գործողությունների ընթացքում գերեվարվել է երկու սիրիացի վարձկանը:
Նրանցից մեկը՝ 1988թ. ծնված, Սիրիայի Իդլիբ նահանգի Ջեսրալ Շուուր շրջանի Զիյադիյա գյուղի բնակիչ Յուսուֆ Ալաաբեթ ալ Հաջին, նախնական հարցաքննության ժամանակ պատմել է, որ
«քաֆիրների» (անհավատների) դեմ կռվելու համար նրան խոստացվել է ամսական 2000 դոլար վարձավճար ու ևս 100 դոլար «պարգևավճար»՝ ամեն «քաֆիրի» գլուխ կտրելու համար:
