Այն բանից հետո, երբ ՌԴ արտգործնախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը հայտարարեց, որ Մերձավոր Արևելքից զինյալներ են ներգրավված Արցախյան պատերազմում, իսկ դրանց թիվն արդեն հասել է 2000-ի, արհեստածին ադրբեջանական պետության ղեկավարն ընկավ հերթական հիստերիայի մեջ՝ փորձելով նորից ապարդյուն ջանքեր գործադրել՝ ակնհայտը հերքել, իսկ Ռուսաստանին մեղադրել կողմնակալության մեջ: Այնինչ, սա առաջին դեպքը չէ. փաստն այն է, որ ոչ միայն միջազգային ԶԼՄ-ներ, այլև տարբեր երկրներ նույնիսկ պաշտոնական մակարդակով են արդեն հաստատել, որ Թուրքիան ահաբեկիչներ է ուղարկում Ադրբեջանի կողմից կռվելու: Ալիևի հերթական նոպան այնքան անհեթեթ էր, որ նույնիսկ ՌԴ ԱԳՆ-ում էին ապշել:

«Ճիշտն ասած, մենք այնքան էլ լավ չենք հասկանում Ալիևի զգացմունքային արձագանքը Սերգեյ Վիկտորովիչ Լավրովի մեկնաբանությանը», - ՏԱՍՍ գործակալությանն ասել է ՌԴ ԱԳՆ աղբյուրը՝ հեգնելով, թե «միգուցե Ադրբեջանի նախագահի օգնականները նրան ցույց են տվել ուրիշի նյութ կամ ներկայացրել են իրենց սեփական մեկնաբանությունը»: Սակայն ամեն ինչ դրանով չավարտվեց: Երեկ Ռուսաստանի արտաքին հետախուզության ծառայության ղեկավար Սերգեյ Նարիշկինն ընդգծել է, որ ճշգրիտ տվյալներ կան Ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության գոտում Մերձավոր Արևելքից, առաջին հերթին՝ Սիրիայից ահաբեկիչների ներկայության մասին:

«Այդ տվյալները մենք ստացել ենք մի շարք երկրներից, տարբեր աղբյուրներից, մեր տարբեր գործընկերներից, Մերձավոր Արևելքի ու Միջինի Արևելքի գործընկեր հատուկ ծառայություններից»,-ասել է նա: Ըստ էության, ակնհայտ է, որ Թուրքիայի և Ադրբեջանի կողմից կռվող բազմաթիվ վարձկան ահաբեկիչների գոյության փաստն այլևս անհերքելի է դառնում աշխարհի համար: Ըստ փորձագետների, հեռու չէ այն օրը, երբ Թուրքիայի և Ադրբեջանի, հատկապես այդ երկրների ղեկավարների նկատմամբ կհետևեն կտրուկ ճնշումներ՝ որպես ահաբեկչական նոր օջախ ստեղծողներ և ոչ միայն տարածաշրջանի, այլև աշխարհի համար նոր սպառնալիքներ ձևավորողներ: Ի դեպ, պատահական չէ, որ մի շարք փորձագետներ կարծիք են հայտնում, որ իսլամիստ վարձկանների ներմուծումը Արցախյան հակամարտության գոտի ոչ միայն Արցախի ու Հայաստանի, այլև Ռուսաստանի դեմ է:
