Գորբաչովը հայտարարել է, որ Բայդենը հասկանում է Ռուսաստանի եւ ԱՄՆ-ի միջեւ հարաբերությունների կարեւորությունը

ԽՍՀՄ նախկին նախագահ Միխայիլ Գորբաչովը համարում է, որ Ջոզեփ Բայդենը.,որն, ամերիկյան առաջատար ԶԼՄ-ների տվյալներով, հաղթել է նախագահական ընտրություններում, հասկանում է ԱՄՆ-ՌԴ հարաբերությունների կարեւորությունը, եւ հույս ունի վերականգնել վստահությունն այդ երկրների միջեւ, հաղորդում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
Գորբաչովն անվանել է Բայդենին «հայտնի մարդ, որն ունի մեծ փորձ ե՛ւ ներքին, ե՛ւ արտաքին քաղաքականությունում»:
«Ես նրա հետ բազմիցս հանդիպել եմ, վերջին անգամ 2009 թվականի մարտին: Այդ ժամանակ նա փոխնախագահ էր: Մենք զրուցել ենք Սպիտակ տանը շուրջ մեկ ժամ, այնուհետեւ միացել է նախագահ Օբաման»,-հիշեցրել է նախկին խորհրդային առաջնորդը: «Զրույցը մանրամասն էր, բարեկամական: Ես ստացել եմ տպավորություն, որ Բայդենը հասկանում է Ռուսաստանի հետ հարաբերությունների կարեւորությունը»,-ասել է Գրոբաչյովը:
«Հույս ունեմ, որ Ջո Բայդենը կձգտի հարաբերությունների կարգավորմանը, մեր երկրների միջեւ վստահության վերականգնմանը»,-ընդգծել է նա՝ վստահություն հայտնելով, որ «դա պատասխանում է ե՛ւ Ամերիկայի, ե՛ւ Ռուսաստանի շահերին»:
«Ես վստահ եմ, որ նաեւ Ռուսաստանին են անհրաժեշտ լավ հարաբերություններ ԱՄՆ-ի հետ՝ չնայած, իհարկե, ոչ ամեն գնով»,-հայտարարել է ԽՍՀՄ նախկին նախագահը:
