Հոկտեմբերի 25-ին կամ 26-ին Արցախի հերոս, գեներալ-մայոր Վիտալի Բալասանյանը եկել էր Երևան ու հանդիպել ՀՀ վարչպետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հետ, «5-րդ ալիք»-ի եթերում ասել է ԱԱԾ նախկին տնօրեն, «Հայրենիք» կուսակցության նախագահ Արթուր Վանեցյանը։

Նա ասել է, որ այդ հանդիպումը բոլորի համար տարօրինակ էր այն պատճառով, որ Բալասանյանը խիստ քննադատում էր Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին։

«Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հետ հանդիպումից հետո Վիտալի Բալասանյանը հանդես եկավ մարտակոչով, ասաց՝ «կոչ եմ անում գալ Արցախ, միանալ պայքարին» », - նշել է Վանեցյանը, ապա ընդգծել՝ Բալասանյանը թող իրեն ների, բայց բացահայտելու է իր ու Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հանդիպումը։

«Վիտալի Բալասանյանը Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին ասել է հետևյալը՝ «ո՞րն է ամենածանր ուղղությունը, որ ունենք ռազմաճակատում», Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ասել է՝ Շուշին, Բալասանյանն ասել է՝ «հանձնարարեք ինձ Շուշիի պաշտպանությունը, եթե ես չհաջողեմ, դա առիթ է, որ վեր կենաք ու հրապարակային ասեք՝ Վիտալի Բալասանյանը չկարողացավ իրականացնել Շուշիի պաշտպանությունն ու Շուշին ընկավ, «կհռչակեք ինձ դավաճան» », - մանրամասնել է Վանեցյանը։

Նրա խոսքով՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը համաձայնել է ու ասել է՝ «գնացեք ու անցեք Շուշիի պաշտպանությանը». ինչպես նշել է Վանեցյանը, Բալասանյանը, սակայն, մինչև վերջին օրն այդպես էլ չի անցել Շուշիի պաշտպանությանը։

«Բալասանյանին Արցախում ասացին, որ նման ցուցում մենք չենք ստացել. հիմա հարց է առաջանում՝ ինչո՞ւ չթույլատրեցին Վիտալի Բալասանյանին իրականացնել Շուշիի պաշտպանությունը», - նշել է Արթուր Վանեցյանը։
