«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է.

Այս օրերին շատերն են հիշում 1996 թվականը, երբ Լեւոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանից դժգոհ զանգվածը նախագահական ընտրությունների շեմին սկսեց հարել Վազգեն Մանուկյանին, ում շուրջ հավաքվեցին քաղաքական ուժերը, բիզնեսը, մտավորականությունը եւ ընտրություններում հաղթելու լուրջ հայտ ներկայացրին։

Հիմա էլ թեեւ Վազգեն Մանուկյանը տարիքն առել է, եւ շատերը դեմ են նրա վարչապետացմանը, բայց մեծ թվով մարդիկ հասկանում են, որ այս պահին այլընտրանք գրեթե չկա, եւ հարկադրված են աջակցել «Վազգեն Մանուկյան-պրոյեկտին»։

Մենք տեղեկացանք, որ այս օրերին նրա հետ են հանդիպում շատ մարդիկ՝ բիզնեսմեններ, քաղաքական գործիչներ, սփյուռքի ներկայացուցիչներ։ Մասնավորապես, օրինակ, նրան են սատարում ՀՀ նախկին վարչապետները՝ Հրանտ Բագրատյանը, Խոսրով Հարությունյանը, Հովիկ Աբրահամյանը, իսկ Կարեն Կարապետյանն օրերս հանդիպել է նրա հետ եւ խոստացել, որ նրա վարչապետ նշանակվելուց հետո ամեն ինչով՝ կադրերով, ֆինանսով, գաղափարներով կաջակցի անկում ապրած տնտեսության վերականգնմանը։
