«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է. «Արցախում եղած պատերազմի 44 օրերին, ԱԺ պետաիրավական հարցերով մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Վարդանյանը երբ Մոսկվա է մեկնել, ռուսական կողմից դժգոհություններ է ստացել ԱԺ «Իմ քայլը» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Հայկ Կոնջորյանի վերաբերյալ։

Բանն այն է, որ ԵԱՀԿ խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովի նիստերից մեկի ժամանակ վերջինս ոչ միայն անգելերեն լեզվով է ելույթ ունեցել, այլ նաև ռուսական պատվիրակության ներկայացուցիչների հետ անգլերեն լեզվով է հաղորդակցվել, որն էլ դժգոհությունների պատճառ է դարձել, թե ինչու է Կովկասի բնակիչ, իրենց ռազմավարական գործընկերը ռուսերենի փոխարեն այլ լեզվով խոսում:

Ռուսական կողմը պատերազմի օրերին Վարդանյանին փակուղում է դրել, թե ինչու են իրենցից օգնություն պահանջում, բայց այլ վերաբերմունք ցույց տալիս օտար ատյաններում։ Վլադիմիր Վարդանյանն էլ ռուսական կողմի դժգոհության մասին հարցը բարձրաձայնել է «Իմ քայլը» խմբակցության նիստերից մեկի ժամանակ, որին ներկա է եղել հենց Հայկ Կոնջորյանը: Վերջինս էլ շտապել է արդարանալ, թե միայն ելույթն է եղել անգլերենով, և ռուսական կողմի դժգոհությունն էլ արդարացի չէ:

Այս միջադեպի և դժգոհության շուրջ երեկ «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը փորձել է մեկնաբանություն ստանալ ԱԺ պետաիրավական հարցերով մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Վարդանյանից, սակայն վերջինս ասաց, թե նման միջադեպ չի հիշում»:
