«Ինչպես գիտեք, այսօր թշնամին գրավել էր Հին Թաղերը և առաջացել դեպի Խծաբերդ: Թշնամին օգտագործել էր հրետանի, մեր կողմից ունենք 6 վիրավոր: Երեկոյան հավաքվեցինք ռուսական բազայի մոտ՝ հասկանալու նրանց դիրքորոշումը: Կարճ ժամանակում բավականաչափ մարդ էր հավաքվել՝ անկախ քաղաքական պատկանելիությունից: Այնտեղ էին, օրինակ, ԱԺ ընտրություններին Վիտալի Բալասանյանի գլխավորած «Արդարություն» կուսակցության ղեկավարը և նույն խմբակցության պատգամավոր, որոնք նույնպես կիսում էին մեր մտահոգությունները: Մեզ հետ զրուցեց ռուսական հրամանատարության տեղակալը (գեներալ Մուրադովը Արցախում չի): Հրամանատարի տեղակալը վստահեցրեց, որ կողմերի հետ պայմանավորվել են վիճակը կայունացնել, մեր զորքերը մնացել են Խծաբերդի դիրքերում, սակայն թշնամին մտել է Խծաբերդ գյուղ: Նշեմ, որ այդ տարածքը պահպանվում էր պաշտպանության բանակի կողմից և այնտեղ ռուս խաղաղապահների դիրքեր չկային: Այժմ բոլոր մակարդակներում գնում են բանակցություններ՝ նախկին դիրքերը վերականգնելու համար: Վաղը ժամը 11-ին կրկին կհանդիպենք՝ նորություններ իմանալու համար»:
