Ռուսական մեդիամագնատ Արամ Գաբրիելյանովը, հղում անելով Կառավարության սեփական աղբյուրներին, իր Карамба տելեգրամյան ալիքում գրում է.

«Պատմեմ՝ ինչ էր երեկ երեկոյան կատարվում Երևանում: Տեղեկատվությունը ստուգել եմ մի քանի աղբյուրներից: Ամբողջ օրը Նիկոլը խմել է: Մի քանի անգամ, նույնիսկ, քնել է սեղանի վրա: Խմում էր մենակ: Անձնական թիկնապահներն անընդհատ հետևում էին նրան, քանի որ խոսակցությունների մեջ մի քանի անգամ սուիցիդալ մտքեր են եղել Նիկոլի մոտ: Նրա անձնական բժիշկը հասկանում է, որ Նիկոլը գտնվում է եզրագծին, սակայն արգելում է նրան ուժեղ հոգեմետ դեղեր տալ: Արդեն մեկ դեպք եղել է, երեք շաբաթ առաջ, երբ հոգեմետ դեղերն ալկոհոլի հետ խառնելուց հետո Փաշինյանն իր նստավայրում ավերածություններ է արել, ու թիկնապահները ստիպված են եղել կապել նրան: Բժշկի միակ ցուցումը, որը քիչ թե շատ կարողանում են կատարել նրա թիկնապահները, հետևյալն է՝ նրան խմելու բան են տալիս ու իզոլացնում են վատ լուրերից: Սակայն վերջին օրերին լավ լուրեր պարզապես չկան ու Փաշինյանը մնում է մեն մենակ ինքն իր հետ ու բաժակի հետ: Նույնն էլ եղավ երեկ: Նիկոլը խմեց երեկոյան ու պատահաբար երիտասարդ թիկնապահից խնդրեց իրեն տալ հեռախոսը ու տեսավ, թե ինչ է կատարվում Հադրութում: Նիկոլն ընկավ հիստերիայի նոպայի մեջ: Սկսեց գոռալ, պահանջեց իր մոտ կանչել Պաշտպանության նախարարին, ԱԱԾ տնօրենին ու ոստիկանապետին: Շատ երկար գոռում էր, որ հեռացնելու է Օնիկ Գասպարյանին, որպես դավաճան: Պահանջեց, որ հասանելիություն ապահովեն Ֆեյսբուքին, որպեսզի կարողանա ուղիղ եթերով դիմի իր սիրելի ժողովրդին: Նիկոլը մինչև հիմա հավատում է, որ ժողովուրդն իրեն սիրում է, իսկ ծախված ընդդիմադիրներն ու հազարավոր ցուցարարները փչացնում են ամեն ինչ: Թիկնազորի պետը որոշեց, որ պետք է նրան տանել կառավարական շենք ու ուղիղ եթերի պատրվակով կաթիլային միացնել , արյունը կմաքրեն ու ուժեղ հանգստացնողներ կտան: Ճանապարհին Նիկոլը պահանջել է ոստիկաններին հանել փողոց ու մեկընդմիշտ լուծել ընդդիմության հարցերը: Թիկնազորի պետը վախենում էր, որ այս վիճակում նա կարող է ցանկացած տեսակ բախումներ սադրել ու կառավարության շենքի մոտ մի քանի շարք ոստիկանների կանգնեցրեց: ԱԱԾ տնօրենը, որպեսզի հանգստացնի հարբած Նիկոլին, իր տուն է ուղարկում Ալֆա ջոկատը: Կառավարության շենքում պարզապես խելագարություն էր տիրում: Այս ու այն կողմ էին վազում ոստիկանները, ԱԼՖԱ ջոկատի տղաները, պատգմավորները, շտապօգնության բժիշկները: Ոչ մի քաննարկում էլ, բնականաբար, չի եղել: Նիկոլը պարբերաբար ինչ-որ բան էր գոռում, մրթմրթում: Նրա մոտ է ժամանում Սասուն Խաչատրյանը ու սկսում է գոռալ նրա վրա, որ չի կարելի այս վիճակում ուղիղ եթեր դուրս գալ: Ժողովուրդը փողոց դուրս կգա ու դա բոլորի վերջը կլինի: Արման Բաբաջանյանն էլ Նիկոլին զեկուցեց, որ Հանրայինի շարժական հեռուստակայանն արդեն մոտենում է Կառավարության շենքին: Դրանից հետո Նիկոլը քիչ թե շատ հանգստացավ ու նրան կաթիլային միացրին: Հետոն արդեն տեխնիկայի հարց էր: Արյունը մաքրեցին, ուժեղ հանգստացնոնղներ ներարկեցին, մտցրին մեքենան ու տարան: Ուժայիններն էլ ցրվեցին, կարծես ոչինչ չի եղել»,- գրում է Գաբրիելյանովւ:
