Ինչպես հայտնեցինք, ներկա պահին տեղի է ունենում Վազգեն Մանուկյանի հանդիպումը մտավորականների և մշակութային գործիչների հետ: 

Հանդիպմանը ներկա գտնվողները իրենց մտահոգող հարցերը ուղղեցին Վազգեն Մանուկյանին, նրան հարց հնչեցրեց նաև երգչուհի, ՀՀ վաստակավոր արտիստ Շուշան Պետրոսյանը. «Քիչ առաջ վարչապետը հայտնեց՝ եռօրյա սուգ է և բնական է, որ բոլոր որդեկորույս ընտանիքները կմասնակցեն այդ երթին, մենք էլ նրանց հետ: Բայց նրան շատ լավ ճանաչելով՝ գիտենք, որ դա նրա մանիպուլյատիվ զենքերից մեկն է, և նա այդ երթի բոլոր ներկաներին ներկայացնելու է որպես իր համակիրների: Սա հերթական անբարոյական շարքերից մեկն է. ի՞նչ ելք ունենք, որպեսզի բոլորի փակ աչքերը բացվեն, անհնար է այս ողբերգության վրա խաղալը: Հիմա բարեկիրթ լինելու ժամանակը չէ, որովհետև քիչ առաջ լուրեր էին տարածվում, որ Խնձորեսկն էլ են հանձնում, երկրի հերը անիծել է այդ տղան: Հարմարավետ երթերը և մեր հանրահավաքները ես չեմ հասկանում, ես 1988-ին եմ մեծացել, ես 88-ի սերունդ եմ: Փետրվարի առաջին ցույցի ժամանակ մեզ անգամ ձյունը չէր խանգարում: Ուզում եմ հասկանալ, թե այս բարեկիրթ հավաքները որքա՞ն են տևելու»,- Վազգեն Մանուկյանին հարցրեց Շուշան Պետրոսյանը:

Վազգեն Մանուկյանն էլ համաձայնեց երգչուհու այն մտքի հետ, որ ինչ անում է Փաշինյանը, ոչ իր սրտի ցավի համար է, ոչ էլ նրա զգացմունքային լինելու: Ըստ Վազգեն Մանուկյանի՝ ավելի լավ կլիներ, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին օգտագործեին այլ երկրում՝ իր միջոցով խնդիրներ լուծելու. նա լավ մանիպուլյատոր է. «Ես երբեք Նիկոլի հետ նույն շարքով, նույն շարասյունով չեմ շարժվի: Ես երբեք ինձ թույլ չեմ տա նրա կողքին քայլել, այնպես որ ամեն մեկդ ձեզ համար որոշում ընդունեք: Իսկ Խնձորեսկի մասով ասեմ, երեկ խորհուրդը հայտարարություն արեց, բայց ես էի ստորագրել այն, մեջը մեկ նախադասություն կար, և շատերը որոշեցին հանել այդ նախադասությունը: Այդտեղ ասվում էր, որ ես կոչ եմ անում ժողովրդին՝ զինվեն, ինքնակազմակերպվեն, որովհետև, եթե բանակը չի կարողանում պաշտպանել ժողովրդին, ապա ժողովուրդը պետք է իրեն պաշտպանի»,- նշեց Վազգեն Մանուկյանը:

Իսկ քաղաքակիրթ ցույցերի մասով էլ նա ասաց, որ այլընտրանք չի տեսնում, քանի որ բոլոր կառույցները քիչ-քիչ հասկանում են, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հետ ճանապարհ չունեն գնալու և անցնում են ժողովրդի կողմը. «Երբ մեծ հատվածը անցնի ժողովրդի կողմը, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը այդ ժամանակ պարտված կլինի»:
