Հարավաֆրիկյան Հանրապետության Ֆրի Սթեյթ նահանգում, տնային գետաձին պատառոտել է տիրոջը: Այս մասին հաղորդել է «Mirror» հրատարակությունը:
40-ամյա ֆերմեր և բանակի նախկին մայոր Մարիուս Էլսը տնային գետաձի էր պահում, որին անվանել էր Համֆրի: Նա ասում էր, որ գետաձին արձագանքում է անվանը և սիրում է իր հետ խաղալ: Էլսը նշում էր, որ գետաձիուն վերաբերվում է, ինչպես որդուն և որ նույնիսկ լվացել է կենդանու ատամները:
-Սա մի փոքր վտանգավոր է, բայց ես սրտով վստահում եմ նրան և գիտեմ, որ նա ոչ ոքի վնաս չի պատճառի: Նա ինձ թույլ է տալիս նստել իր մեջքին, և ես նրան ձիու պես քշում եմ: Մենք միասին լողանում ենք: Սրանք հարաբերություններ են, որ շատերը չեն հասկանա: Նրանք մտածում են, որ այսպիսի հարաբերություններ կարող են լինել միայն կատուների կամ շների հետ, - ասել է ֆերմերը:
Մի գեղեցիկ օր 6-ամյա Համֆրին պատառոտել է տիրոջը և քարշ տվել տնից ոչ հեռու գտնվող Վաալ գետ:
Դեպքի վայր ժամանած բուժաշխատողները պարզել են, որ կենդանին մի քանի անգամ կծել է տիրոջը, ինչից հետո վերջինս մահացել է:
