Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ԱԺ պաշտպանության եւ անվտանգության հարցերի մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Անդրանիկ Քոչարյանը հունվարի 20-ին հանդիպել է ՀՀում ԱՄՆ արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան Լին Թրեյսիի գլխավորած պատվիրակության հետ, որի կազմում էին նաեւ դեսպանության ռազմական կցորդ Սքոթ Մաքսվելը եւ քաղաքատնտեսական հարցերով պատասխանատու Քիմ Զափֆելը: Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է ՀՀ ԱԺ-ն:

Անդրադառնալով պատերազմի հետեւանքով առկա առաջնային խնդիրներին՝ Անդրանիկ Քոչարյանն ընդգծել է, որ անհրաժեշտ է ներդնել հնարավոր բոլոր ջանքեը գերիների փոխանակումն իրականացնելու համար: «Ռազմագերիների հարցը կարեւոր հումանիտար խնդիր է, որն օր առաջ պետք է լուծվի հնարավոր բոլոր խողովակների կիրառմամբ»,- շեշտել է նա:

Զրուցակիցները խոսել են նաեւ պատերազմում Ադրբեջանի կողմից Մերձավոր Արեւելքից ահաբեկիչների եւ վարձկանների ներգրավման մասին: «Սիրիայից եւ Մերձավոր Արեւելքի այլ երկրներից վարձկանների մասնակցությունը պատերազմին անհերքելի է, եւ այդ փաստը հաստատվել է աշխարհի առաջատար երկրների՝ ինչպես Ֆրանսիայի, այնպես էլ Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության հատուկ ծառայությունների կողմից: Փաստորեն այս պատերազմում Պաշտպանության բանակը կռվել է Ադրբեջանի, Թուրքիայի, ահաբեկիչների եւ իսրայելական նորագույն սպառազինության դեմ»,- նշել է Անդրանիկ Քոչարյանը:

«Որպես ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահ՝ Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգները կաշխատեն ԼՂ հարցում երկարատեւ քաղաքական լուծում գտնելու ուղղությամբ: Այս ճանապարհին պետք է փորձել տարբեր մակարդակներում երկխոսության հասնել»,- նշել է Լին Թրեյսին:

Հանձնաժողովի նախագահը նշել է, որ տարածաշրջանում անվտանգության ապահովման երաշխիքը կարող է լինել ԼՂ կարգավիճակի հստակեցումը, եւ  այս պահին այդ ուղղությամբ արդեն պետք է տարվեն աշխատանքներ:

Հանդիպման ավարտին քննարկվել են տնտեսական հարաբերությունների անվտանգության ապահովմանը,  ՀՀ զինված ուժերի բարեփոխումներին միտված օրենսդրական նախաձեռնություններին, ինչպես նաեւ դեսպանության աջակցությամբ սերժանտական կազմի ինստիտուցիոնալ կրթական հնարավորություններին վերաբերող հարցեր:
