Այսօր լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ Մարդու իրավունքների առաջին պաշտպան, իրավապաշտպան Լարիսա Ալավերդյանն անդրադարձավ նախկինում արված իր այն հայտարարությանը, թե Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ամենևին փողոցից չի եկել և փողոցով էլ չի գնալու:

Նա ընդգծեց. «Այն  ամենը, ինչ ասում է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը, իր համոզմունքներն են, իր՝ ոչ բավարար գիտելիքների հիման վրա, բավականին կասկածելի գաղափարախոսության հիման վրա, որի մեջ ինքը կայացել է դեռ առաջին նախագահի ժամանակներից` որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը պետք է մնա Ադրբեջանի կազմում՝ միայն ավելի բարձր կարգավիճակով:

Ես պնդում եմ, որ սա զուտ փողոցը չի, որովհետև այդպիսի մարդու փնտրում էին, և  հետո աճեցնում էին, աշխատում էին մի քանի մարդկանց վրա,  մի քանի խմբերի վրա: Մեզ վրա նվագում են, ինչպես վատ դաշնամուրի վրա՝ սեղմելով ամենատարբեր նոտաները,  որտեղ որ վերջապես կստացվի: Մեզ ուսումնասիրում են, ուսումնասիրել են.  մինչև անգամ Ղարաբաղյան շարժման սկզբից՝  ես արդեն ծանոթ էի, որ երկու տարի շուտ  եկել են մեզ ուսումնասիրելու Ամերիկայից սոցիոլոգները՝ հասարակագետները: Այսինքն՝ դա գրագետ, աշխարհաքաղաքական կայացած սուբյեկտների առօրյա աշխատանքն է»:

Իրավապաշտպանը նաև զուգահեռներ անցկացրեց այսօր տեղի ունեցող մի շարք գործընթացների և ԽՍՀՄ տարիների միջև. «Ինձ համար հետաքրքիր է, որ մեզ անընդմեջ հիշեցնում են, որ մենք վերադառնում ենք Սովետական Միության սահմաններին, նույն այդ մարդկանց թիվը սովետական ժամանակների. ես ուզում եմ հասկանալ՝ մենք, ի՞նչ է, վերադառնում ենք սովետական ժամանա՞կ բոլորս»:

Անդրադառնալով Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի՝  երեկ խորհրդարանում հնչեցրած հայտարարություններին՝ Լարիսա Ալավերդյանը նկատեց. «Հստակեցնենք, որ այն, ինչ որ ասում է քաղաքացի Փաշինյան Նիկոլը, որովհետև ես կարծում եմ, որ նա պետք է արդեն ոչ թե կասկածյալի, այլ մեղադրյալի դերում լինի, այնինչ, մեր պատկան մարմինները զլանում են (հետո` դրա մեջ վատ բան չկա`  հպարտ քաղաքացի Փաշինյան Նիկոլ),  օգտագործում է բոլոր այն արգումենտները, հիմնավորումները, որոնք կան շռայլորեն ադրբեջանական մամուլում, իրենց պատմության դասագրքերում:

Սա նշանակում է՝ այստեղ կա շատ խորքային և գաղափարախոսական շեղում դեպի թուրքական քաղաքագիտական միտքը. օգտագործվող ամբողջ բառապաշարն էլ է այդտեղից:

Մինչև անգամ Արցախի նախագահի պաշտոնը զբաղեցնող Արայիկ Հարությունյանն ասել է, թե պետք է համակերպվեք, ինչի՞ն, որ մենք ունենք ապաշնորհ ղեկավարությո՞ւն»:

Իրավապաշտպանը շեշտեց նաև՝ Ադրբեջանին տրվել են որևէ միջազգային նորմով չպատկանող հողերը. «Այն 7 շրջանները, որոնց վերադարձի վրա պնդում էին բոլոր աշխարհաքաղաքական խոշոր խաղացողները,  միջազգային իրավունքի կոռեկտ առումով չեն պատկանում Ադրբեջանին.  դրա համար շատ ուժեղ պատմաբան պետք չի լինել, շատ պրոֆեսինոալ իրավաբան պետք չի լինել. այդ տարածքները Հյուսիսային Արցախի՝ Գարդմանքի հետ միասին՝ մինչև բավականին հեռու, բոլորը ճանաչվել են միջազգային իրավունքով վիճելի տարածքներ:

Ես խնդրում եմ բոլորիդ՝ մի՛ ենթարկվեք այն ճնշմանը, որի տակ Հայաստանը գտնվում է 1989 թվականից»:
