«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է.

«Շուրջ մեկ շաբաթվա ընթացքում ինքնասպանության և ինքնասպանության փորձի 2 դեպքեր գրանցվեցին զինծառայողների շրջանում: Նոյեմբերի 28-ին ՀՀ ԱԱԾ սահմանապահ զորքերի ժամկետային զինծառայող, շարքային Գևորգ Խաչատրյանն էր ինքնասպան եղել, իսկ ավելի վաղ` նոյեմբերի 9-ին, ինքնասպանության փորձ էր կատարել ՀՀ ՊՆ զորամասի ժամկետային զինծառայող Ռազմիկ Աբրահամյանը: Դեռևս 2013 թվականի ՀՀ ՊՆ N զորամասում ժամկետային զինծառայող Լյուքս Ստեփանյանի և նրա ծառայակից ընկերների միջև մի «պզուկի» պատմության հետևանքով տեղի ունեցած սպանության դեպքը, կարծես թե, դաս չեղավ ինչպես ՊՆ-ի, այնպես էլ զինվորների համար:

2015թ. նոյեմբերի 28-ին՝ ժամը 22:50-ի սահմաններում, սահմանապահ ուղեկալի պարտադիր ժամկետային զինծառայող, շարքային Գևորգ Խաչատրյանը, լինելով պետական սահմանի պահպանության սահմանապահ վերակարգի կազմի մեջ, իրեն ամրակցված ինքնաձիգով ինքնասպան էր եղել:

Գևորգ Խաչատրյանի ինքնասպանության դեպքից «Ժողովուրդ»-ին մանրամասներ են հայտնի դարձել, մասնավորապես թե ինչ մոլեխաղեր են կազմակերպել գործով անցնող կապիտանը, ավագ լեյտենանտն ու երկու շարքայինները, և ինչո՞ւ էր շարքային Գևորգ Խաչատրյանը գնացել ինքնասպանության: Ըստ մեզ հասած տեղեկությունների` վերոնշյալ օրը Գևորգ Խաչատրյանը կապիտան Ոսկանյանը, ավագ լեյտենանտ Հ. Վարդևանյանը և շարքայիններ Հ. Մուրադյանը և Ա. Սարգսյանը թղթախաղ են խաղացել և պայմանավորվածություն են ձեռք բերել, որ պարտվողը պետք է անի այն, ինչ հաղթողները կամենան: Գևորգը խաղը պարտվել է, և վերոնշյալ անձինք նրան ծիծաղելի առաջադրանք են տվել, ինչը նա պայմանի համաձայն կատարել է: Օրինակ՝ չոքեչոք գնա կապիտանի շան մոտ ու նրան կերակրի կամ այլ նմանօրինակ առաջադրանքներ:

Նշենք, որ ի սկզբանե, խաղը սկսելուց առաջ, տղաները պայմանավորվածություն են ձեռք բերել, որ եթե պարտվողը չանի, ապա նշանակում է, որ դրժում է տղամարդավարի տված իր խոսքը: Եվ, ահա, Գևորգը պարտվելուց հետո որոշել է տեր կանգնել տղամարդու իր խոսքին ու կատարել է տղաների զվարճալի առաջադրանքը: Սակայն այսքանով պատմությունը չի ավարտվել: Ու այդ խաղը ճակատագրական դարձավ շարքային Գևորգի համար: Բանն այն է, որ խաղից հետո ծառայակից տղաները սկսել են ծաղրել, անընդհատ հիշեցնել, թե ինչպես ծնկաչոք կեր տվեց կապիտանի շանը և այլն:

Ըստ էության, Գևորգին դուր չի եկել ծառայակից ընկերների կողմից իրեն ծաղրելու դրսևորումները, և նա զգուշացրել է` դադարեցնել ծաղրանքը: Սակայն նրա խոսքը տեղ չի հասել, և նրան ծաղրելու փորձերը շարունակվել են, ինչի արդյունքում Գևորգ Խաչատրյանը իրեն ամրակցված զենքով ինքնասպան է եղել»:
