«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է
Պատերազմի ամբողջ ընթացքում 1-2 անգամ «երևացած», իսկ հետպատերազմական շրջանում լիարժեք լռություն պահպանած պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Դավիթ Տոնոյանը երեկ հարցազրույց է տվել՝ ինչ-որ առումով փորձելով նաև «մաքրվել», արդարանալ, սլաքներն այլ կողմ ուղղել: Մասնավորաբար, նախ՝ նա նշում է, որ «պաշտպանության նախարարությունը և Զինված ուժերը անկեղծ և անձնազոհաբար արել են ավելին, քան հնարավոր էր՝ հանուն հաղթանակի», ապա հավելում մի միտք, որը, երևի թե, հարցազրույցի «մեխն» է. «2015 թ.-ին ընդունված նոր Սահմանադրությամբ պատերազմի ժամանակ պաշտպանության նախարարը փաստացի դուրս է մնում ռազմական գործողությունների պլանավորման և վարման գործընթացից, քանի որ այդ լիազորությունները վերապահվում են Գերագույն հրամանատարին և Զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբի պետին։
