ԵՊՀ գրադարանի ընթերցասրահը այսօր՝ հունվարի 28-ին, անվականոչվեց ԵՊՀ Հոգեբանության և փիլիսոփայության, Իրավագիտության ֆակուլտետների և ՀՀ ՊՆ Վազգեն Սարգսյանի անվան ռազմական համալսարանի շրջանավարտ, ավագ լեյտենանտ, կամավոր պատերազմ մեկնած և զոհված Գևորգ Արշակյանի հիշատակին։

«Քանի որ Գևորգը միաժամանակ մի քանի ֆակուլտետում էր սովորում, չէինք կողմնորոշվում՝ որն էր իրականում Գևորգի ֆակուլտետը, պրոֆեսորադասախոսական անձնակազմի հետ ժողովի ժամանակ որոշվեց Գևորգի անվամբ կոչել գրադարանի ընթերցասրահը, որտեղ ուսանողները կկրթվեն և այդպիսով կշարունակեն Գևորգի գործը։ Հավերժ փառք Գևորգներին։ Գևորգի անունով մենք կամբողջացնենք մեր բոլոր հերոսներին»,- ասաց ԵՊՀ ուսխորհրդի նախագահ Դավիթ Ափոյանը։

Գևորգի դասախոսները հիշում են՝ նա հայրենիքի նվիրյալ էր և բացառիկ հայրենասեր։ Գևորգը սիրում էր կրկնել սպարապետ Վազգեն Սարգսյանի խոսքերը՝ մահացիր այնպես, որ մահդ էլ ծառայի հայրենիքիդ։

«Նման երիտասարդները հազվագյուտ են։ Հիմա ուսանողները այս ընթերցասրահ մտնելիս անընդհատ կզգան Գևորգի շունչը»,- նշեց ԵՊՀ իրավագիտության ֆակուլտետի դեկան Գագիկ Ղազինյանը։

Գևորգ Արշակյանի պապը՝ Գևորգ Հովսեփյանը, երկար տարիներ Երևանի պետական համալսարանում դասավանդել է Հայաստանի պետության և իրավունքի տեսություն ու պատմություն և Քաղաքական և իրավական ուսմունքների պատմություն առարկաները։

«Դպրոցական տարիներին Գևորգը մասնակցեց «Ստեղծագործական աշխատանք» համապետական օլիմպիադային, որն անցկացվում էր ժուռնալիստիկայի ֆակուլտետում։ Եվ երբ հանձնաժողովը գնահատում էր աշխատանքները, կարդում եմ Գևորգ Արշակյանի աշխատանքը, ասում եմ՝ այս ինչ տաղանդավոր տղա է, մի՞թե Աստված կարող է այսքան շռայլ լինել։ Գևորգին հանձնաժողովը որոշեց տալ առաջին կարգի դիպլոմ։ Հետո դժվարացանք երկրորդ և երրորդ կարգի դիպլոմներ հանձնելիս, որովհետև Գևորգը մի նշաձող էր սահմանել, որից հետո մյուսներին գնահատելը սարսափելի դժվարացավ։ Համալսարանի դահլիճում մեծ հանդիսություն է՝ հանձնում ենք առաջին կարգի դիպլոմը, իմ կողքին նստած Գևորգ Հովսեփյանը՝ իմ պայծառ բարեկամը, ասում է՝ թոռնիկս է։ Այդ պահին ես հասկացա, որ գենետիկան հզոր ուժ է»,- պատմեց ԵՊՀ ժուռնալիստիկայի ֆակուլտետի դեկան Նաղաշ Մարտիրոսյանը։

Գևորգ Արշակյանը նահատակվել է նոյեմբերի 7-ին Շուշիում։
