Արդեն տեղեկություններ են շրջանառվում, որ իշխանությունները ցանկանում են հնարավորինս ձգձգել արտահերթ ընտրությունները: Մեր աղբյուրները փոխանցում են, որ իշխանության առանձին ներկայացուցիչներ ու հատկապես մերձիշխանական որոշ շրջանակներ նույնիսկ համոզում են Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին, որ պետք է ամեն ինչ անել՝ խուսափելու արտահերթից՝ այն հույսով, որ մանիպուլ յացիաների, հասարակության զգացմունքների վրա խաղալու, ընդդիմադիրների վարկաբեկումն ու նրանց վրա ճնշումները շարունակելու միջոցով հնարավոր կլինի մոռացնել Արցախի մեծ մասի կորուստը, հազարավոր զոհերը, անվտանգային ծանր խնդիրները, տնտեսական «կրախն» ու ի վերջո «իրավիճակ փոխել»: Բանն այն է, որ հարցումից ակնհայտ է դառնում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի վարկանիշի անկումը:
Ըստ մեր տեղեկությունների, վերջին մի քանի հարցումները ցույց են տվել, որ ընդհանուր վարկանիշից զատ, կտրուկ նվազել է հատկապես անվերապահ աջակցողների, այսինքն՝ «անպայման կքվեարկեմ» պատասխանողների թիվը՝ մոտ 5 տոկոս, փոխարենը գնալով մեծանում է «ոչ մի պարագայում չեմ քվեարկի» պատասխանողների քանակը: Սակայն, մեր աղբյուրների պնդմամբ, իշխանական ու մերձիշխանական շրջանակներին ոչ պակաս անհանգստացրել է այն հանգամանքը, որ նկատելիորեն աճում է Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի վարկանիշը, զուգահեռ կտրուկ նվազում է նրա «անտիռեյտինգը»: Ըստ որոշ ուսումնասիրությունների, հիմնական պատճառներից մեկն այն է, որ մարդիկ հանձին նրա տեսնում են հավասարակշռված անձնավորության և «ուժեղ ձեռք», որի հետ կարող են հույսեր կապել:
