«Իշխանությունը հերթական դարակազմիկ նախաձեռնությունն է ներկայացրել, որով ցանկանում է հերթական սահմանափակումը հաստատել մամուլի նկատմամբ․ մի խումբ «ուսապարկեր» ներկայացրել են օրենքի նախագիծ, ըստ որի՝ այլևս արգելվելու է անանուն աղբյուրներից տեղեկատվության հրապարակումը։ Առաջին հայացքից խայտառակ ու հակաժողովրդավարական այս նախաձեռնությունն իրականում շատ օրինաչափ է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի պարագայում։

Անցած շուրջ երեք տարիներին նա հետևողականորեն զբաղված է եղել ու է՛ ժողովրդավարական բռնապետության հաստատմամբ․ օրենսդիր ու գործադիր իշխանությունների, սահմանադրական դատարանի ուզուրպացիայից, վերջերս էլ նաև դատական համակարգի ջհանգիրյանացումից հետո օրինաչափորեն հաջորդը պետք է լիներ մամուլը, քանի որ բռնատիրական համակարգերին ազատ մամուլը հակացուցված է, ինչպես, օրինակ, մտածող պատգամավորը՝ Հայաստանում այսօր գործող խորհրդարանում։

Եվ ահա, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը ձեռնամուխ է եղել իր վերահսկողությունից դուրս գտնվող հերթական, բայց չափազանց կարևոր ոլորտի գործունեության սահմանափակմանը։ Քաղաքական տրամաբանությամբ նրա քայլերը հասկանալի են․ նա չի հանդուրժում այլակարծությունը և ամեն ինչ անում է այն վերացնելու համար։ Խնդիրը, սակայն, ավելի շատ անձնական, բարոյական հարթությունում է։

Բանն այն է, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ինքը՝ որպես լրագրող, ապա՝ որպես խմբագիր, կայացել է առավելապես անանուն աղբյուրներից ստացված տեղեկություններ հրապարակելով։ Դրանց ոչ մեծ մասն է համապատասխանել իրականությանը, բայց դա չի խանգարել, որ տարիների ընթացքում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը կայանա՝ որպես «ընդդիմադիր լրագրող»։ Հիմա նա, փաստորեն, պայքարում է իր իսկ կայացմանն այդքան նպաստած հնարավորության դեմ, որը, ի դեպ, ժողովրդավարական հասարակության հիմնաքարերից է։

Այս տեմպերով շարունակելու դեպքում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հաջորդիվ փորձելու է օրենքով, հնարավորության դեպքում՝ նաև սահմանադրորեն արգելել նաև «համաժողովրդական պայքարի» միջոցով իշխանության փոփոխությունը, ճանապարհը, որով ինքը եկել է իշխանության։

Այսպիսով, կա՛մ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն անհաղթահարելի բարդույթներ ունի սեփական կենսագրության առնչությամբ ու իր անցած ճանապարհն այնքան սխալ է համարում, որ ցանկանում է արգելել դրա կրկնությունը, կամ մտածում է, որ այն, ինչ կարելի էր իրեն, չի կարելի ուրիշ որևէ մեկի։

Երկու դեպքում էլ խնդիրը դուրս է միայն քաղաքականության շրջանակներից և կարիք ունի հոգեբանների բացատրության։ Բայց անկախ հոգեբանական շարժառիթներից՝ արդյունքի առումով պատկերը չի փոխվում․ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հաստատուն քայլերով գնում է դեպի բռնապետություն, որի ամենալուրջ հակառակորդը, ինչպես հայտնի է, ճշմարտությունն է։ Իսկ ճշմարտությունը կարող է հայտնվել ոչ միայն հասցեական, այլ, ինչպես սովորաբար պատահում է՝ անանուն։ Հատկապես այնպիսի հասարակություններում, որտեղ ցանկացած ճշմարտության հեղինակի ճնշելու համար օգտագործվում է ողջ պետական համակարգը»,-գրում է թերթը:
