Իսկ ինչո՞ւ էր վարչապետ ներկայացող անձն այդ ժամանակ շտապում ու ընտրությունները նախաձեռնում 2018-ի դեկտեմբերին, այլ ոչ թե մյուս տարվա ամռանը, կամ աշնանը, այն դեպքում, երբ իրենից նման նախաձեռնություններ էին սպասում, ինքը ո՞ւր էր շտապում։ Այս մասին Ֆեյսբուքի իր էջում գրել է քաղաքագետ Ստեփան Դանիելյանը։
Նա, մասնավորապես, գրել է․
«2018-ին Ազատության ռադիոկայանին տված հարցազրույցում ԱՄՆ ազգային անվտանգության գծով խորհրդական Ջոն Բոլթոն.
«Այսօրվա հանգամանքներն ընդգծում են, որ կարեւոր է երկու հակամարտ կողմերը համաձայնության գան ղարբաղյան համակարտության հարցում։ Երբ դա տեղի ունենա, միանգամից կբացվի հայ-ադրբերջանական սահմանը։ Համոզված եմ, որ կբացվի նաեւ հայ-թուրքական սահմանը»։
Նույն ժամանակ ԱՄՆ-ի Ադրբեջանում նախկին դեսպան Կոզլարիչն ասել էր, որ «Հայաստանում ընտրական գործընթացի ավարտից հետո կարող է բացվել ոչ թե ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորման հնարավորություն, այլ հակառակը՝ պատերազմական գործողությունները»։
Հետաքրքիր է, որ բոլորը շեշտում էին 2018-ի ԱԺ արտահերթ ընտրությունների արդյունքների կապը արցախյան հակամարտության հանգուցալուծման հետ։ Բոլթոնը նաեւ ասել էր, որ ընտրություններից հետո սպասում է ղարաբաղյան խնդրում Փաշինյանի նոր նախաձեռնություններին։

Նաեւ հետաքրքրական է, թե ի՞նչ էր ակնարկում Բոլթոնը, երբ ասում էր, թե այդ անձին՝ գործող վարչապետին հարցրել է, թե որն է իր հաջողության գաղտնիքը։ Կարծես թե պատասխանը հետեւյալն է, քեզ դարձրել ենք վարչապետ ու դու Արցախի հարցում ունես ստանձնած պարտավորություններ»։
