«ՀՀ նախկին վարչապետ, Հայ-ռուսական (Սլավոնական) համալսարանի ռեկտոր Արմեն Դարբինյանը բաց նամակ էր հրա­պարակել և մեղադրել իշխանությանը, որ իր բոլոր հնարավորու­թյուններով լծվել է իրեն ռեկտորի պաշտոնից պաշտոնանկ անելու գործին: Այո-այո, նույն Դարբինյանը, որը ողջունում էր Նիկոլ Փաշի­նյանի որոշումները, իսկ նրա կառավարության կազմին, բացի մեկ-երկու կոմպրոմիսային դեմքերից, մնացյալին համարում՝ ուսյալ, գաղափարական, բաց, պայքարող, քաղաքացի տեսակ ու նրանց ցավը տանում, հիմա դարձել է խիստ ընդդիմադիր:

Ընդ որում, իրեն պաշտոնանկ անելու մեջ տեսնում է իշխանության շահագրգռվածությունը, բայց չի հիշում, որ լինելով ամենառուսամետ համալսարանի ռեկտորը՝ այդպես էլ չհերքեց իր կապը «Սասնա ծռերի» հետ, որոնք ուղիղ թշնամի են համարում մեր ռազմավարական դաշնակից Ռուսաստանին:

Մինչդեռ մամուլում տևական ժամանակ շրջանառվամ էր նրանց քաղաքական համագործակցության մասին: Ինչևէ, նշենք, որ ըստ քաղաքական կուլիսներում շրջանառվող խոսակցությունների՝ Դարբինյանն այսօր գտել է կառավարությունում պաշտպան՝ ի դեմս Հայ-ռուսական համալսարանի նախկին ուսանող, այսօր ՀՀ փոխվարչապետ Տիգրան Ավինյանի: Նա, ըստ էության, ամեն ինչ կանի, որ Դարբինյանը մնա ռեկտորի պաշտո­նում, ինչի համար էլ անգամ որոշակի լարվածություն կա նրա և Փաշինյանի միջև»,-գրում է թերթը:
