Թուրքիան պնդում է Պակիստանի հետ մարտական ինքնաթիռների եւ հրթիռների համատեղ արտադրությունը, ինչը կարող է նրա համար հավանական հասանելիություն ապահովել չինական ռազմական տեխնոլոգիաների նկատմամբ, գրում է BR-ն:

Թուրքական կառավարությունը եւ պաշտպանության նախարարության ներկայացուցիչները պարբերաբար քննարկումներ են անցկացնում իրենց պակիստանցի գործընկերների հետ, ընդ որում՝ բանակցությունների վերջին բարձր մակարդակի փուլը՝ ռազմական տեխնիկայի զարգացման եւ արտադրության վերաբերյալ, անցկացվել է հունվարին։

Ըստ աղբյուրների, Թուրքիան Պակիստանին դիտարկում է որպես ռազմավարական դաշնակից եւ հավանական գործընկեր՝ իր հեռահար պաշտպանական հրթիռների եւ TF-X կործանիչի կառուցման գործում:

Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը ողջունել է Պակիստանի հետ պաշտպանական նախագծերի ոլորտում համագործակցության «շատ լուրջ ներուժը», երբ դեկտեմբերին Պակիստանի պաշտպանության նախարար Միան Մուհամմադ Հիլալ Հուսեյնը հանդիպել է Թուրքիայի բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաների հետ:

Թուրքիայի կողմից չինական ռազմական տեխնոլոգիայի ձեռքբերումը կարող է պոտենցիալ կերպով նոր անախորժություն ստեղծել Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ, ինչը կհանգեցնի արեւմտյան ռազմական դաշինքից Անկարայի հետագա հեռանալուն:

Վաշինգտոնն արդեն պատժամիջոցներ է սահմանել Թուրքիայի դեմ՝ Ռուսաստանից հակահրթիռային պաշտպանության համակարգեր գնելու համար, եւ արգելում է թուրքական ընկերություններին մասնակցել Lockheed Martin-ի F-35 անտեսանելի կործանիչների մշակմանը:
