ԱՄՆ դեսպանությունը հորդորում է օրենսդրական բարեփոխումներն իրականացնել միջազգային չափանիշների համաձայն

ԱՄՆ դեսպանությունը ողջունում է ՀՀ կառավարության պաշտոնյաների, մասնավորապես, գլխավոր դատախազի և մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի հրապարակային հանձնառությունը սահմանադրական հանրաքվեի վերաբերյալ հնչեցված արժանահավատ հաղորդումներով լիարժեք քննություններ ապահովելու վերաբերյալ: Այս մասին նշված է Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպանությամ տարածած հաղորդագրության մեջ, որում, մասնավորապես, ասված է.
«ԱՄՆ դեսպանությունը շարունակում է հետևել դեկտեմբերի 6-ի հանրաքվեի հետ կապված քվեների վերահաշվարկի ընթացքին: Ավելի վաղ մենք լուրջ մտահոգություն էինք հայտնել հանրաքվեի ընթացքում տեղ գտած խախտումների մասին, որոնց վերաբերյալ արժանահավատ հաղորդումներ էին հնչեցվում ոչ կուսակցական դիտորդների ու Հայաստանի տարբեր քաղաքական կուսակցությունների կողմից:
Մենք ողջունում ենք ՀՀ կառավարության պաշտոնյաների՝ մասնավորապես գլխավոր դատախազի և մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի հրապարակային հանձնառությունը հնչեցված արժանահավատ հաղորդումներով լիարժեք քննություններ ապահովելու վերաբերյալ: Մենք վերահաստատում ենք, որ խախտումների համար պատասխանատուների նկատմամբ քննություններն ու դատական կարգով հետապնդումները պետք է լինեն թափանցիկ ու հրապարակային, որպեսզի ՀՀ ժողովրդի մոտ լինի վստահություն ընտրական գործընթացի անաչառության վերաբերյալ: Լիարժեք ու թափանցիկ քննությունները և դրանց արդյունքների մասին հրապարակումները, նույնիսկ եթե այդ քննությունների արդյունքով քրեական գործեր չեն հարուցվում, կարող են օգնել Ընտրական հանձնաժողովին, Ազգային ժողովին և քաղաքացիական հասարակությանը վերհանել ընթացիկ ընտրական գործընթացների այն ոլորտները, որոնք բարելավման կարիք ունեն:
Հաշվի առնելով այն հանգամանքը, որ Միացյալ Նահանգներն աշխարհով մեկ պայքարում է կոռուպցիայի դեմ` դեկտեմբերի 6-ի հանրաքվեի անաչառ անցկացմանն ուղղակիորեն միջամտած անձանց մասին հրապարակումներում տեղ գտած տեղեկությունները կարող են նաև կիրառվել ԱՄՆ դեսպանատան կողմից՝ դեսպանության ծրագրերում ու միջոցառումներում մասնակիցների ներգրավումը դիտարկելիս:
Առաջիկայի հետ կապված՝ մենք վերահաստատում ենք մեր կոչը ՀՀ կառավարությանն ու խորհրդարանին ԵԱՀԿ/ԺՀՄԻԳ առաջարկներին համահունչ նոր ընտրական օրենսգիրք ընդունելու մասին և հորդորում ենք նոր օրենսդրական բարեփոխումներն իրականացնել համաձայն միջազգային ստանդարտների՝ մեծացնելու ընտրական գործընթացների անաչառությունը Հայաստանում»:
