«Հայկական քաղաքական իրականությունը բաղկացած է հակադրություններից, հաճախ՝ աբսուրդի հասնող հակադրություններից։ Դա ամենաշատն ու ամենացայտունը դրսևորվում է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի դեմ պայքարում կամ պայքարի իմիտացիայում։

Թվում է՝ բոլորը պայքարում են նրա դեմ կամ նրան իշխանությունից հեռացնելու համար, բայց այդ պայքարում կատարում են այնպիսի գործողություններ կամ ցուցաբերում են այնպիսի անգործություն, որ վերջնարդյունքում նպաստում են նույն Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի իշխանության ամրապնդմանը։

Այս գործընթացը վերածվել է հակասությունների անվերջանալի շղթայի, որն ամեն օր գեներացնում է հանրային սպասումներ, իսկ ամեն հաջորդ օր հանգեցնում է հասարակության հիասթափությանը, և որպես դրա հետևանք՝ ապատիայի ավելացմանը։ Այդ հակասականությունը հասել է զավեշտի մակարդակի։

Հանրապետության նախագահը պահանջում է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հրաժարականը, բայց դրանից հետո իր բոլոր գործողություններով կամ դրան համարժեք անգործությամբ՝ նպաստում է նրա իսկ իշխանության ամրապնդմանը։

Գլխավոր շտաբի պետ Օնիկ Գասպարյանը հայտարարում է, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը լրջագույն սպառնալիք է ներկայացնում Հայաստանի անվտանգության համար, երկիրը տանում է կործանման, պահանջում է նրա հրաժարականը, իր այդ քայլով գեներացնում է շուրջ երկշաբաթյա գործընթաց և վերջում հեռանում է հեզաճկուն մի հայտարարությամբ։

Գրեթե նույնպիսին է նաև Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի դեմ պայքարող հարթակային ընդդիմության գործելաոճը․ չնայած խրոխտ հայտարարություններին ու սուր քննադատությանը, նրանց կիսատ գործողությունները ֆունկցիոնալ առումով ծառայում են Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի իշխանության ամրապնդմանը։

Սա, իհարկե, քաղաքականության դիսֆունկցիայի հետևանք է։ Մյուս կողմից, սակայն, քաղաքականությունը՝ քաղաքականություն, բայց այն իրագործողները մարդիկ են, անուն-ազգանուն ունեցող անհատներ, որոնք, մեղմ ասած, չունեն բավարար չափով վճռականություն և լավագույն դեպքում սահմանափակվում են կիսաքայլերով։

Մենք ապրում ենք հետ քաշվող մարդկանց ժամանակներում, որոնք ամենատարբեր պատճառներով, սկսած ամենաճղճիմից՝ մինչև ամենապարզունակը, վախենում են ստանձնել պատասխանատվություն և իրավիճակին համարժեք քայլեր կատարել կամ առնվազն տրամաբանություն հաղորդել սեփական քայլերին։

Ի հակադրություն իր դեմ պայքարողների, իշխանության, աթոռի պահպանման հարցում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ունի գերվճռականություն, հանուն այդ նպատակի պատրաստ է ամեն ինչի, առանց բացառության՝ ամեն ինչի, և մինչև օրս հաջողում է այդ հարցում, չնայած, որ բոլոր գործոններն ու իրողություններն աշխատում են նրա դեմ։ Նա կարողանում է հաղթահարել այդ խոչընդոտները՝ ոչ թե սեփական իմաստնության ու խոհեմության, այլ ընդդիմախոսների անվճռականության, անպատասխանատվության շնորհիվ։
