Միացյալ Նահանգների նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի ղեկավարությամբ ԱՄՆ վարչակազմը հավատում է, որ կարևոր է Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարցում ճանաչել պատմությունը: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին հունական Kathimerini-ին ասել է Սպիտակ տան խոսնակը:

«Որպես նախագահի թեկնածու՝ Բայդենը ոգեկոչել է 1.5 մլն հայ տղամարդկանց, կանանց և երեխաներին, ովքեր մահացել էին Օսմանյան կայսրության վերջին տարիներին: Նա այն ժամանակ ասել էր, որ մենք երբեք չպետք է մոռանանք կամ լուռ մնանք այս սարսափելի փաստի առթիվ: Եվ մենք մշտապես հարգելու ենք այս մեծ ողբերգությունից հետո հայ ժողովրդի ցուցաբերած տոկունությունը: Այս վարչակազմը հանձնառու է առաջ մղել հարգանքը մարդու իրավունքների նկատմամբ, վստահեցնելու, որ նման կոտորածներ այլևս չեն կրկնվի: Այս ամենի կարևոր բաղադրիչն է պատմության ճանաչումը»,- նշել է խոսնակը՝ Kathimerini-ի խնդրանքով արձագանքելով ԱՄՆ սենատոր Ռոբերտ Մենենդեսի կողմից նախաձեռնված նամակին, որը ստորագրել էին 36 այլ դեմոկրատ և հանրապետական սենատորներ:

Մենենդեսը նամակում Բայդենին հիշեցրել էր, որ նախկինում, այդ թվում և 2020 թվականին նախընտրական քարոզարշավի շրջանակում նա ճանաչել է Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը: «Մենք հորդորում ենք՝ նույնն անել արդեն նախագահի պաշտոնում՝ հստակեցնելով, որ ԱՄՆ կառավարությունը ճանաչում է այս սարսափելի ճշմարտությունը»,- ասվում է նամակում: Սենատորը հիշեցրել էր, որ 2019 թվականի դեկտեմբերին ԱՄՆ Սենատը, իսկ 2020 թվականի ապրիլին նաև Ներկայացուցիչների պալատն ընդունել էին համապատասխան բանաձևեր, որով 1915 թվականի կատարվածը ճանաչում էին որպես Հայոց ցեղասպանություն: Նա ընդգծել է, որ ժամանակն է՝ գործադիր մարմինը ևս ճանաչի պատմական իրողությունը:

SKIPSTOPPED
Սպիտակ տան խոսնակի մեկնաբանությունից հետո քաղաքագետ, քաղաքական խորհրդատվություն տրամադրող առաջատար Eurasia Group-ի և համաշխարհային հարաբերությունների լուսաբանումն իրականացնող GZERO Media-ի նախագահ Յան Բրեմերը հայտարարել է, որ Սպիտակ տան իր աղբյուրը հայտնել է, որ Բայդենի վարչակազմը պատրաստվում է 1915 թվականին Օսմանյան կայսրությունում հայերի կոտորածները ճանաչել որպես ցեղասպանություն:

GZERO Media-ում հրապարակած բացառիկ տեսանյութում Բրեմերը, անդրադառնալով Սպիտակ տոն խոսնակի հայտարարությանը, պատմել է. «[Սպիտակ տան] խորհրդականներից մեկը, իմ հարցին, թե արդյոք հաստատում է, որ ցեղասպանության ճանաչում տեղի կունենա, ասաց ինձ, որ դա այն է, ինչ նա (խմբ.- Ջո Բայդենը) խոստացել է որպես թեկնածու, և այդ քաղաքականությունն առաջ է գնում: Սպիտակ տան մեկ այլ պաշտոնյա, անդրադառնալով ապրիլի 24-ին՝ Ցեղասպանության հիշատակի օրն արվելիք հայտարարությանը, ինձ ասաց, որ Բայդենը խոսքի մարդ է: Ուստի այս պահին ակնհայտ է, որ նա լինելու է առաջին ԱՄՆ նախագահը, որը կանի դա»:

Յան Բրեմերը նշել է, որ անկասկած Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանին սա պարզապես կատաղեցնելու է: Նա հիշեցրել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ի և Թուրքիայի միջև հարաբերություններն առանց այն էլ վերջին շրջանում լավ վիճակում չեն, մասնավորապես Անկարայի կողմից ռուսական Ս-400 հակահրթիռային համակարգեր գնելու պատճառով: «Անկասկած, ցեղասպանության ճանաչումը շատ ավելի է բարդացնելու վերականգնել թուրք-ամերիկյան հարաբերությունները: Անկարան իրենց ավելի մեկուսացված է զգալու, բացի այդ, նրանք հիմա հսկայական տնտեսական ճնշման տակ են»,- նշել է նա:
