ECONOMICSՄինչ միլիոնավոր ամերիկացիներ շարունակում են կորցնել իրենց աշխատանքը և ապրուստի միջոցները, Քաղաքական հետազոտությունների և հարկային արդարության ինստիտուտի հաշվարկներով՝ ամերիկացի միլիարդատերերը կորոնավիրուսի համավարակի ընթացքում, ընդհանուր առմամբ, իրենց կարողությունն ավելացրել են 1,3 տրիլիոն դոլարով, գրում է The Independent-ը։
Ինստիտուտի՝ նախօրեին հրապարակված զեկույցի համաձայն՝ 2020 թվականի մարտի 18-ից մինչև 2021 թվականի մարտի 18-ն ընկած ժամանակահատվածում ԱՄՆ-ում միլիարդատերերն իրենց ընդհանուր հարստությունն ավելացրել են գրեթե 45 տոկոսով կամ ավելի քան 1,3 տրիլիոն դոլարով։ Ընդ որում, վերջին մեկ տարում միլիարդատերերի շարքը համալրել է առնվազն 43 ամերիկացի։
Նշվում է, որ 2020 թվականի մարտի 18-ից ի վեր Amazon-ի հիմնադիր Ջեֆ Բեզոսի կարողությունն աճել է 57,6 տոկոսով՝ 113 մլրդ դոլարից հասնելով 178,1 մլրդ դոլարի։ Նույն ժամանակահատվածում Tesla-ի հիմնադիր Իլոն Մասկի կարողությունն աճել է ռեկորդային 558 տոկոսով՝ 2021-ի մարտի 18-ի դրությամբ կազմելով 162.4 միլիարդ։
Միլիարդատերերի թոփ 15-ում են ընդգրկվել Facebook-ի հիմնադիր Մարկ Ցուկերբերգը, Oracle ընկերության հիմնադիր Լարի Փեյջը, Google-ի համահիմնադիր Սերգեյ Բրինը և Nike-ի հիմնադիր Ֆիլ Նայթը․ համավարակի ընթացքում նրանցից յուրաքանչյուրի կարողությունն աճել է առնվազն 50 տոկոսով։
Շատ ամերիկացիների կյանքում համավարակը, ինչպես նշում է թերթը, հակառակ պատկերն է ստեղծել։ 2021 թվականի փետրվարին ԱՄՆ-ում գործազրկության մակարդակը կազմել է մոտ 6,2 տոկոս՝ նախորդ տարվա փետրվարի 3,5 տոկոսի համեմատ:
