«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է․ «Ձվի շուկայում Սուրբ Զատկի տոներին որոշակի սցենարով քաոս էր. որոշ խանութներում քաղաքացիները մի քանի հատիկ ձու գնելու համար ստիպված էին երկար հերթ կանգնել, հրմշտել իրար եւ ձեռքից ձեռք ձու խլել: Կարճ ասած՝ ձվի շուկան վերահսկողությունից դուրս էր մնացել: ՀՀ տնտեսական մրցակցության պաշտպանության հանձնաժողովը գլխավորող Գեղամ Գեւորգյանն իրականում տնտեսական ոստիկանի իր գործառույթները չիրականացրեց: Մասնագետների կարծիքով՝ այս կառույցը ճիշտ չի վերահսկել շուկան այն դեպքում, երբ մի քանի օր առաջ բարձրաձայնվում էր ձվի հնարավոր դեֆիցիտի մասին:
Ի դեպ, այս խնդրի մասին «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը ահազանգել էր դեռեւս մարտի 24-ին։ Այնուամենայնիվ, ձվի դեֆիցիտի երկու վարկած է շրջանառվում. նախ՝ Սուրբ Զատիկից մի քանի օր առաջ որոշ անձինք, սուպերմարկետներից արկղերով ձու գնելով, պահեստավորել են իրենց ավտոտնակներում, որպեսզի արհեստական դեֆիցիտ առաջացնեն՝ հող նախապատրաստելով ներկրման անվան տակ պահեստների ձուն թանկ գնով վաճառելու համար: Սակայն Սննդամթերքի անվտանգության տեսչական մարմինը ձու ներկրելու ցանկություն հայտնած անձանց զգուշացրել է՝ եթե ներկրում են, ապա պետք է պատշաճ մակնշում ապահովեն, ինչը չեն կարողացել: Ինչո՞ւ չեն կարողացել. քանի որ նրանք պետք է շուկա հանեին ավտոտնակներում պահեստավորած ձուն: Բանն այն է, որ Ռուսաստանից չեն կարող հավկիթ ներկրել, քանի որ այնտեղ եւս ձվի խնդիր կա, իսկ Իրանից հնարավոր չէ ներկրել, որովհետեւ փակ է սահմանը։
Մյուս վարկածի համաձայն՝ մարտից մինչեւ նոյեմբերի վերջ տնտեսվարողները չեն կարողացել ածան հավերի գլխաքանակը թարմացնել, մինչդեռ տարվա մեջ այն պետք է երկու անգամ թարմացվի, որ կարողանան հանրապետությունում առկա ձվի պահանջարկը ամբողջությամբ բավարարել: Կորոնավիրուսի եւ ռազմական դրության պատճառով տնտեսվարողները ստիպված են եղել Հոլանդիայից, Գերմանիայից, Վենգրիայից ավելի թանկ գնով ձեռք բերել ինկուբացիոն ձու եւ ճուտ: Բերել են, դրել են, բայց ժամկետը ուշ է եղել, եւ, մարտից սկսած, օրական անհրաժեշտ 1 մլն 285 հազար հատ ձվի փոխարեն արտադրվել է 900 հազար հատ»։
