Եմենում դեկտեմբերի 15-ին տեղական ժամանակով ժամը 12:00-ին (Երեւանի ժամանակով ժամը 13:00-ին) ուժի մեջ Է մտել հրդադադարի ռեժիմը: Համապատասխան նախաձեռնությամբ հանդես Է եկել երկրի նախագահ Աբդ Ռաբո Մանսուր Հադին:

Ինչպես սպասվում Է, հրադադարը կշարունակվի յոթ օր եւ կհամընկնի Շվեյցարիայում հակամարտության կարգավորման շուրջ բանակցությունների գործարկմանը: Սակայն կա այն բանի հավանականությունը, որ հրադադարը կխախտվի, ինչպես դա ավելի վաղ քանիցս տեղի Է ունեցել ընթացիկ տարում:

Սաուդյան Արաբիան, որը գլխավորում Է «արաբական կոալիցիան», հայտարարել Է, որ «իրեն իրավունք Է վերապահում» պատասխանել շիա խռովարարների (հուսիների) կողմից զինադադարի ցանկացած խախտման:

2014 թվականի օգոստոսից Եմենում չի դադարում դիմակայությունը երկրի իշխանությունների եւ շիա ապստամբների միջեւ: Այս տարվա հունվարին նրանք գրավել են երկրի մայրաքաղաք Սանան: Նախագահը հարկադրված Էր նախ տեղափոխվել Ադեն, իսկ այն բանից հետո, երբ ապստամբները մարտի 25-ին մտան այդ քաղաք, նա լքեց երկիրը: Մարտի 26-ից նրա խնդրանքով Սաուդյան Արաբիան Բահրեյնի, Քատարի, Քուվեյթի եւ ԱՄԷ-ի օդուժի աջակցությամբ ռազմաօդային գործողություն Է իրականացնում շիաների կազմավորումների դեմ: Կոալիցիային միացան նաեւ Եգիպտոսը, Հորդանանը, Մարոկոն եւ Սուդանը, իսկ արաբական մի ապետությունները երկիր ուղարկեցին ցամաքային զորքեր, որոնց թվաքանակը հասնում Է 10 հազարի:

ՄԱԿ-ի տվյալներով՝ Եմենում մարտական գործողությունների հետեւանքով զոհվել են 2, 6 հազարից ավելի խաղաղ բնակիչներ: 21 միլիոն եմենցիներ հումանիտար օգնության կարիք ունեն, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
