«Երեկ դոլարի կուրսն էապես նվազեց․ եթե նախօրդ օրերին հասել էր ընդհուպ 540-ի, ապա մեկ օրում իջավ մինչեւ 1 դոլարի դիմաց 515 դրամ։ Պարզվեց, սա Կենտրոնական բանկի միջամտության արդյունք է։ ԿԲ-ից մեզ ասացին՝ ինտերվենցիա են արել, այսինքն՝ հավելյալ դոլար են բաց թողել շուկա, որը ոչ միայն զսպել է դոլարի բարձրացումը, այլեւ նպաստել դրամի որոշ ժամանակով արժեւորմանը։
Այդ մասին, ի դեպ, ապրիլի 8-ին հայտարարել էր նաեւ Կենտրոնական բանկը, որ «ՀՀ ֆինանսական շուկաների բնականոն գործունեության ապահովման նպատակով ՀՀ կենտրոնական բանկը ՀՀ արտարժութային շուկայում կիրականացնի գործառնություններ»։
Սա, ըստ էության, ԿԲ-ի միակ ու հիմնական գործառույթն է՝ դրամի արժեզրկումը զսպելու համար, իսկ թե որքան ռեսուրս ունի ԿԲ-ն, դեռ որքան կարող է դոլարի ինտերվենցիաներ իրականացնելով զսպել դրամի արժեզրկումը, դժվար է ասել։ ԿԲ-ից էլ դժվարացան միանշանակ պատասխանել, ասացին՝ դա ավելի խոր փորձագիտական վերլուծություն է պահանջում»,-գրում է թերթը։
