Հանրապետության նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանի ուղերձը Հայոց ցեղասպանության տարելիցի առթիվ

Սիրելի՛ հայրենակիցներ Հայաստանում, Արցախում և Սփյուռքում,

Այսօր ոգեկոչում ենք 1915թ. Օսմանյան Թուրքիայում Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի անմար հիշատակը:

Ավելի քան 100 տարի առաջ հայ ժողովրդի կրած վիթխարի մարդկային ու տարածքային կորստի ցավն այսօր էլ արձագանքում է մեր սրտերում՝ հիշեցնելով, որ ոտնահարվել է հայ ժողովրդի՝ իր բնօրրանում խաղաղ և ապահով ապրելու ու զարգանալու իրավունքը՝ երեկ՝ Օսմանյան կայսրությունում, այսօր՝ Արցախում:

Ցավոք, միջազգային և տարածաշրջանային քաղաքականության մեջ Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, ընդհանրապես հայկական հարցը ոմանց կողմից շատ հաճախ փորձ է արվում օգտագործել որպես միջոց տարբեր նպատակների հասնելու համար:

Սակայն աշխարհը պետք է գիտակցի, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ոճիրը լռության մատնելու, անցյալում թողնելու, առավել ևս՝ ժխտելու քաղաքականությունն իրեն վաղուց է սպառել, որ ցեղասպանությունն ամբողջ մարդկության դեմ ուղղված հանցագործություն է, և որ անտարբերությունն ու անպատժելիությունը նոր հանցագործություններ են ծնում: Նման ոճրագործություններն ու դրանց հեղինակներին պետք է կոչել իրենց անուններով, դատապարտել հանցագործությունն ու հանցագործին:

Այսօր էլ իրադարձություները վերստին փաստում են, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչումն ու դատապարտումը անհրաժեշտություն են մեր տարածաշրջանում տևական խաղաղություն և կայունություն ապահովելու համար:

Սիրելի՛ հայրենակիցներ,

Հայոց ցեղասպանությունն այլատյացության այն հետևողական քաղաքականության արգասիքն է, որի նորագույն դրսևորումն Արցախի դեմ սանձազերծված ադրբեջանաթուրքական պատերազմն էր:

Հայոց ցեղասպանության 106-րդ տարելիցին, երբ դեռ ապաքինվում ենք ծանրագույն հարվածից, մեր մեջ պետք է արմատավորվի ուժեղ, մրցունակ, խելամիտ Հայաստան ունենալու ձգտումը: Մենք կարող ենք ու պարտավոր ենք ուղղել մեր մեջքը և ամուր կանգնել սեփական հողին և հավատարիմ մնալ ինքներս մեզ: Միանշանակ մերժելի են ոտնձգությունները մեր ազգային ու բարոյական արժեքների, մեր ինքնության դեմ:

Մենք, որպես միասնական ժողովուրդ և պետություն, պետք է կարողանանք մաս կազմել այսօր աշխարհում տեղի ունեցող զարգացումներին` առանց նահանջելու մեր հիշողությունից ու արդարացի պահանջներից:

Խոնարհվելով ցեղասպանությանը զոհ գնացած մեր սուրբ նահատակների հիշատակի առաջ, որպես Հանրապետության նախագահ, ցանկանում եմ վստահաբար ասել, որ համայն հայության համատեղ ուժերով հասնելո՛ւ ենք մեր ազգային նպատակների իրականացմանը և Հայաստանը դարձնե՛լու ենք մեր երազանքների երկիրը:
