INTERNATIONAL NEWSԱրգենտինայի Հանրապետության նախագահ Ալբերտո Ֆերնանդեսը, Հայոց ցեղասպանության 106-րդ տարելիցի կապակցությամբ, Արգենտինայի հայ համայնքին նամակ է ուղղել, որում ասված է.
«Ինչպես քաջատեղյակ եք, Արգենտինայի Հանրապետությունն ընդունել է թիվ 26.1999 օրենքը, որով յուրաքանչյուր տարվա ապրիլի 24-ը հռչակվել է «Հանուն ժողովուրդների միջև հանդուրժողականության և հարգանքի գործողության օր»՝ ի նշանավորումն այն ցեղասպանության, որի զոհը դարձավ հայ ժողովուրդը, այն ոգով, որ նրանց հիշատակը դառնա ներկայի քայլերի և մեր ապագայի նպատակների մասին մշտական դաս: Անկասկած, այդ կոտորածները հարատև հետք թողեցին հազարամյա հայ ժողովրդի վրա»:
Նախագահը շեշտել է, որ արգենտինացի ժողովուրդն այդ մասին լավ գիտի, քանի որ հայ համայնքը շատ խորը արմատներ է գցել իրենց երկրում, միասին են մեծացել:
«Գիտեմ, որ ձեզնից շատերը սիրում Արգենտինան, ինչպես նաև իր նախնիների մշակույթը, ավանդույթները և հիշատակը: Այսօր միասին ենք հիշում այդ ողբերգությունը: Այս ցավալի օրը ցանկանում եմ ձեր կողքին լինել այն ըմբռնմամբ, հարգանքով և համերաշխությամբ, որոնցով միշտ եմ արել: Ընդունե՛ք իմ սրտանց և եղբայրական գրկախառնությունը»,-նշել է Ֆերնանդեսը:
