Աշխարհահռչակ հեռուստաաստղ Քիմ Քարդաշյանն Ինստագրամի իր էջում գրառում է արել՝ անդրադառնալով երեկ ԱՄՆ 46-րդ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի ուղերձում «Հայոց ցեղասպանություն» եզրույթն օգտագործելուն։

«Մեկ դարից ավելի ճշմարտության և ճանաչման համար պայքարելուց հետո այսօր հայերը ստացան այն ճանաչումը, որի համար աղոթում էինք և հույս ունեինք։ Նախագահ Բայդենը 1915 թվականի 1,5 մլն հայերի կոտորածը Ցեղասպանույթյուն անվանեց։

Հայ համայնքի համար սա երկար ճանապարհ էր, և ես զգում էի, թե ինչպես ենք տարեցտարի մոտենում Ցեղասպանության ճանաչմանը այնպես, ինչպես հիմա կա։ Վերջապես այդ օրը եկավ։

Այնքան հպարտ եմ իմ ժառանգությամբ, հայ համայնքով և շնորհակալ եմ նախագահ Բայդենին՝ այս օրը յուրաքանչյուր հային շնորհելու, ճշմարտության համար: Չնայած սպանված հայերին ոչինչ երբեք չի վերադարձնի՝ հույս ունեմ, որ հիմա նրանց ընտանիքները խաղաղություն կզգան։ Ամեն տարի այս օրը շարունակելու եմ հարգել և հիշել նրանց, ում մենք կորցրել ենք, բայց հիմա հույսով, որ Ցեղասպանության ճանաչումից հետո մենք այլևս երբեք թույլ չենք տա կրկնել անցյալի ոճրագործությունները։

Շնորհակալություն նախագահ Բայդեն, ճշմարտությունը ասելու ձեր խիզախության համար, որը մյուսները նախընտրեցին թաքցնել»,- գրել է նա։

Նշենք, որ Քիմը վերջին տարիներին պայքարում է Ցեղասպանության ճանաչման համար։ Հեռուստաաստղը Հայաստան կատարած իր այցերի ժամանակ միշտ այցելում է Ծիծեռնակաբերդ և հարգում Ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակը։
