ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինկենը հայտարարել է, որ ռազմական առճակատումը հակասում է ինչպես Չինաստանի, այնպես էլ Միացյալ Նահանգների շահերին:

«Կարծում եմ, որ ռազմական առճակատումը, այդ կետին հասնելը կամ նույնիսկ այդ ուղղությամբ շարժվելը, խորապես հակասում է ինչպես Չինաստանի, այնպես էլ Միացյալ Նահանգների շահերին», - ասել է ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարը CBS-ին տված հարցազրույցում:

Բլինկենի խոսքով՝ Չինաստանը երկիր է, որն ունի ռազմական, տնտեսական և դիվանագիտական ներուժ «կանոնների վրա հիմնված կարգը վիճարկելու համար», ինչին ԱՄՆ-ում ակտիվորեն աջակցում և պաշտպանում են: Բլինկենը հավելել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ի նպատակը «Չինաստանին զսպելը չէ», այլ «հաստատված կարգը պահպանելը», որին Չինաստանը «մտադիր է մարտահրավեր նետել»:

«Կարծում եմ, որ վերջին մի քանի տարիների ընթացքում մենք ականատես ենք եղել, որ Չինաստանն իր իսկ ներսում ավելի ռեպրեսիվ է դարձել,իսկ արտաքին քաղաքականության առումով՝ ավելի ագրեսիվ: Սա փաստ է», - ասել է պետքարտուղարը:

Հարցազրույցի ընթացքում բարձրացվել է նաև Չինաստանի կողմից մարդու իրավունքների ենթադրյալ խախտումների թեման: Բլինկենը այս առնչությամբ ասել է, որ Չինաստանի Սինցզյան-Ույղուրյան ինքնավար շրջանում իշխանությունների գործողությունները նման է ույղուրների «ցեղասպանության»:

«Մենք հստակ հասկացրել ենք, որ Սինցզյանում իրավիճակը ույղուրների դեմ ցեղասպանություն է թվում: Ավելի քան մեկ միլիոն մարդ ուղարկվել է համակենտրոնացման, հարկադիր աշխատանքի և ներկալման ճամբարներ: Պեկինն ասում է, որ տարածքում ահաբեկչական սպառնալիք կա, բայց մենք նման բան չենք տեսնում»,-շեշտել է նա:

Հիշեցնենք՝ ՉԺՀ-ի Սինցզյան-Ույղուրյան ինքնավար շրջանի տարածքում, ըստ Չինաստանի իշխանությունների, գործում է «Արևելյան Թուրքեստան» ահաբեկչական կազմակերպությունը, որին Պեկինը մեղադրում է միջազգային ահաբեկչական կազմակերպությունների, մասնավորապես՝ «Ալ Կաիդա»-ի հետ կապ ունենալու համար: Ինչպես հայտնել են լրատվամիջոցները, Արևելյան Թուրքեստանը հավաքագրում է տեղի բնակիչներին և ուղարկում նրանց Սիրիայի և Իրաքի ծայրահեղականների ուսումնական ճամբարներ:

ԱՄՆ նախկին պետքարտուղար Մայք Պոմպեոն, 2020 թվականի նոյեմբերի 4-ին հրապարակված հրամանագրով, շարժումը հանել էր ահաբեկչական կազմակերպությունների ցուցակից: Չինաստանն այս կապակցությամբ խիստ բողոք է հայտնել:

2018 թվականի օգոստոսի վերջին ՄԱԿ-ի ռասայական խտրականության վերացման հարցերով կոմիտեի փորձագետները զեկուցել են, որ մինչև մեկ միլիոն էթնիկ ույղուրներ կարող են գտնվել Չինաստանի Սինցզյան-Ույգուրական ինքնավար շրջանի «վերադաստիարակման ճամբարներում»: Չինաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունը հայտարարել է, որ «վերադաստիարակման ճամբարներում» ույղուրներին պահելու մասին տեղեկությունները չեն համապատասխանում իրականությանը: Չինաստանի իշխանությունները պնդում են, որ Սինցզյանգի հետ կապված խնդիրները բնավ մարդու իրավունքների, էթնիկական կամ կրոնական խնդիրներ չեն, խնդիրները վերաբերում են բռնության, ահաբեկչության և անջատողականության հարցերին:
