Количество шагов, которое ежедневно делает человек, способно положительно сказаться на состоянии здоровья. Об этом напомнили специалисты из Национального института рака и института старения в США. Результаты их исследования опубликованы в журнале Американской медицинской ассоциации, сообщает «Око планеты» .

Ученые оценили пользу пешей ходьбы при помощи эксперимента, который проходил с 2003 по 2006 годы. Его участниками стали около 4800 человек старше 40 лет. Затем исследователи отслеживали данные о состоянии здоровья добровольцев до 2015 года.

В итоге было установлено, что восемь тысяч шагов в день снижают риск смертности по ряду причин на 51%. В то же время, если в сутки делать более 12 тыс. шагов, то риски сокращаются на 64%, рассказали американские ученые.
