POLITICSՀՀ ԱԳՆ-ն հայտարարություն է տարածել Լատվիայի խորհրդանի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչող հռչակագրի ընդունման առնչությամբ:
Հայտարարության մեջ ասված է.
«Ողջունում ենք Լատվիայի խորհրդարանի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչող հռչակագրի ընդունումը: Սա ևս մեկ քայլ է Հայոց ցեղասպանության համընդհանուր ճանաչման և դատապարտման ուղղությամբ:
Այս հռչակագիրը կարևոր է ոչ միայն պատմական արդարության և ճշմարտության, այլև ապագայում նման հանցագործությունների կանխարգելման տեսակետից: Հայոց ցեղասպանության համընդհանուր ճանաչումը տարածաշրջանում հայ ժողովրդի անվտանգության կարևորագույն գրավականներից է:
Կիսում ենք Լատվիայի խորհրդարանի դիրքորոշումն առ այն, որ նման հանցագործությունների ճանաչումը կոչված է կառուցելու այնպիսի ապագա, որտեղ հարգվում են մարդու իրավունքները, և յուրաքանչյուր անհատ կարող է լինել ազատ, անվտանգ և ապահով»։
