Эрдоган: ЕС без Турции не сохранит свою мощь

Президент Турции Тайип Эрдоган выступил в воскресенье с утверждением, что Европейский союз (ЕС) без поддержки Анкары не сможет сохранить свою мощь. Об этом говорится в распространенном канцелярией заявлении турецкого лидера, пишет ТАСС.
«Евросоюз нуждается в новых подходах и структурных преобразованиях, в особенности в вопросе механизма принятия решений. Очевидно, что без поддержки и вклада Турции ЕС не сможет сохранить свою мощь», - отмечается в заявлении.
По словам Эрдогана, Турция, «вопреки политике двойных стандартов и преградам, сохраняет решимость в вопросе достижения стратегической цели, которая заключается во вступлении в ЕС».
6 июля 2017 года Европарламент принял резолюцию, призывающую страны Евросоюза и ЕК приостановить переговоры о вступлении Турции до тех пор, пока ее власти не внесут поправки в конституцию. В апреле 2017 года прошел референдум по турецкой конституционной реформе, в результате чего были значительно расширены президентские полномочия.
За последние четыре года Брюссель и страны - члены Евросоюза на разных уровнях не раз заявляли о том, что действия Турции способствуют отдалению от евросообщества, и призывали Анкару определиться со своей позицией.
