«Հայրենիք» կուսակցության խորհուրդն իր անհանգստությունն է հայտնում Սյունիքում և դրա շուրջ տեղի ունեցած վերջին իրադարձությունների վերաբերյալ, որոնց հետևանքով Ադրբեջանական զորամիավորումները մոտ 3,5 կիլոմետր խորությամբ ներխուժել են Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ինքնիշխան տարածք` որպես հետևանք խախտելով Հայաստանի Հանրապետության տարածքային ամբողջականությունը: Այս մասին հայտարարություն է տարածել «Հայրենիք» դաշինքը:

Հայտարարությունում նաեւ ասվում է. «Զարգացումների նման ընթացքը Հայաստանում դեռևս իրեն իշխանություն համարող ապաշնորհ և դավաճանական վարչախմբի իրականացրած պարտվողական քաղաքականության հետևանք է, որը պարբերաբար հանգեցնում է պետական կառավարման և անվտանգային ճգնաժամերի, ինչի հետևանքով խաթարվում է մեր երկրի ներքին կայունությունը, ստեղծելով նաև նորանոր մարտահրավերներ արտաքին քաղաքական միջավայրում։

Սյունիքում և Հայաստանի սահմանամերձ այլ շրջաններում ստեղծված անվտանգային մարտահրավերները դիմագրավելու նպատակով խիստ անհրաժեշտ ենք համարում ներքաղաքական կյանքում ազգային և առողջ ուժերի համախմբումը, ինչպես նաև մեր բանակի՝ հնարավորին արագ վերականգնումն ու հզորացումը, իսկ արտաքին քաղաքական ասպարեզում ռազմավարական դաշնակից և բարեկամ պետությունների հետ նոր որակի արժանապատիվ գործընկերային հարաբերությունների կառուցումը։

Նկատի առնելով, որ այս ապիկար և ապաշնորհ վարչախումբը որևէ պարագայում ունակ չէ վարել այնպիսի քաղաքականություն, որը կապահովի մեր պետության կենսական շահերը և ինքնիշխանությունը ՝ մեկ անգամ ևս համոզմունք ենք հայտնում, որ դավաճանական վարչախումբը որևէ ապագա չունի Հայաստանում և պետք է օր առաջ հեռացվի»:
