«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. «Մայիսի 10-ից Սյունիքի մարզի Իշխանասարի Սև լիճ կոչվող հատվածում ադրբեջանական բանակի դիրքավորումը լուրջ իրարանցում առաջացրեց Հայաստանում: Ստեղծված իրավիճակը պայթունավտանգ է ոչ միայն ներքաղաքական կայունության առումով, այլև կարող է հանգեցնել հայ-ադրբեջանական նոր բախումների:

ՀՀ ՊՆ գլխավոր շտաբին մոտ կանգնած մեր աղբյուրները պնդում են, որ չորեքշաբթի օրը՝ ՊՆ-ում հայտարարված տագնապից հետո, մեր ստորաբաժանումները շատ արագ են դուրս եկել երթային վիճակի ու շատ օպերատիվ կերպով կենտրոնացել նախանշված ուղղություններով, ինչը սկսել է անհանգստացնել ադրբեջանական կողմին, որտեղ քարոզում են, թե հայերն այլևս ուժ չունեն:

Մեզ տեղեկացրին, որ հետաքրքիր մեսիջներ են գալիս նաև ռուսներից. այս հարցում նրանք հայկական կողմի տեսակետն են պաշտպանում, և պատահական չէ, որ լուրերը տարածվելուց հետո օդ բարձրացան ռուսական ՄԻԳ-երն ու ուղղաթիռներ, ինչպես նաև ադրջանցիների հետ բանակցություններին ռուսները գալիս են հայերի հետ, իսկ ադրբեջանցիները՝ միայնակ։ Ինչպես հայտնում են ռուսական լրատվամիջոցները, ռուսական կողմին զայրացրել է այն փաստը, որ Ադրբեջանը փորձել է օգտվել Սյունիքի՝ ՌԴ ՊՆ պատասխանատվության գոտում ռուս հրամանատարների փոփոխությունից։ Ըստ ամենայնի, Բաքուն հույս ուներ, որ գեներալ Ալեքսեյ Ավդեևը, որը տարածաշրջան էր ժամանել Ռուստամ Մուրադովին փոխարինելու համար, մինչ կստանձնի իր պարտականությունները, Ադրբեջանին կհաջողվի բարելավել իր դիրքերը:

ԱԳՆ-ի մեր աղբյուրները չբացառեցին, որ Ռուսաստանը կարող է սկսել շատ կոշտ արձագանքել նման դեպքերին, սակայն նշեցին, որ ապտակը կարող է Ադրբեջանը ստանա այլ տեղից ու այլ ձևերով: Մեր հարցին, թե ինչպիսին է վիճակը Իշխանասարում, և ինչ հնարավոր զարգացումներ են տեսնում, հիմնական պատասխանն այն էր, որ մինչև վերջին պահը հստակություն չկա, բայց մերոնք գնալով ավելի վճռական են տրամադրվում: Ի դեպ, մեր դիտարկումները ցույց են տալիս, որ հասարակության ներսում գնալով ավելանում է ուժ կիրառելու տեսակետը, քանզի Ադրբեջանը սկսել է լկտիանալ»:
