POLITICS«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է. «Անցած շաբաթվանից Սև լճի շուրջ ծավալված զարգացումները շատ մոտ են եղել տարածաշրջանում նոր պատերազմ հանգեցնելուն: Մեզ հասած տեղեկություններով` ադրբեջանցիների կողմից հայկական տարածք ներխուժմանը հաջորդած օրերին հայկական բանակին հրահանգվել է լավագույն ստորաբաժանումներով դիրքավորվել ու պատրաստ լինել անակնկալ գրոհով հետ շպրտել հակառակորդին:
Ամենայն հավանականությամբ, Ադրբեջանը չի պատկերացրել, որ այդ արագությամբ մերոնք կարող էին զորք կուտակել ու դիրքավորվել մոտակա այլ բարձունքների վրա` ստեղծելով իրենց ստորաբաժանումները շրջափակելու իրական հնարավորություն: Ի դեպ, Գլխավոր շտաբին մոտ կանգնած նախկին բարձրաստիճան զինվորականներից մեզ փոխանցեցին, որ կառավարությունից հրահանգվել է արխիվներից հանել տարատեսակ քարտեզներ ու, ըստ դրանց, Տավուշից ու Նախիջևանի հատվածում պլանավորել առաջխաղացումներ` բերելով նույն հիմնավորումները, ինչ ադրբեջանցիները:
Ի դեպ, մեզ տեղեկություններ են հասնում, որ ադրբեջանցիների քայլերը խիստ զայրացրել է նաև ռուսական կողմին, որտեղից, ըստ էության, հասկացնել են տալիս, որ ռազմական գործողությունների վերսկսման դեպքում այլևս թույլ չեն տա, որ իրենց քթի տակ օտար պետությունների զորքեր ու զենք հայտնվի, ինչպես եղավ 44-օրյա պատերազմի ժամանակ: Եվ, ի վերջո, այս անգամ սեղանին է դրված նաև ՀԱՊԿ-ի և Ռուսաստանի հեղինակության հարցը, քանզի այս հարցի հանգուցալուծումից է կախված ոչ միայն ՌԴ-ի, այլև ՀԱՊԿ-ի հեղինակությունը:
Բանն այն է, որ այս կառույցի պատմության մեջ առաջին անգամ անդամ պետությունը դիմել է խնդրանքով: Իսկ ադրբեջանցիներն էլ հասկանում են, որ, առանց թուրք, պակիստանցի և այլ պետությունների զինվորական մասնագետների ու տեխնիկայի օգնության, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, նոր պատերազմում դարձյալ տարածքներ կկորցնեն»:
