Մեր հավաստի տեղեկություններով՝ Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետությունում է գտնվում շուրջ 160 հայ զինվոր։ Վերջերս իրանցի բարձրաստիճան զինվորականների՝ Հայաստան ժամանման առիթներից մեկն էլ հայ զինվորների վերադարձի հետ կապված հարցերը քննարկելն է եղել։
Մեզ պատմեցին, որ հայ զինվորները պատերազմի թեժ օրերին հատել են Իրանի պետական սահմանը և այդ ժամանակվանից գտնվում են այնտեղ՝ հայտնի չէ, թե որտեղ են գտնվում եւ ինչ կարգավիճակով։ Մեզ ասացին նաև, որ հայ զինվորների վերադարձի հետ կապված Իրանը ինչ-ինչ նախապայմաններ է ներկայացրել հայկական կողմին՝ ադրբեջանական օրինակը, փաստորեն, վարակիչ է եւ նրանք էլ են փորձում օգտվել «գերիներ» ունենալու հանգամանքից։
Մենք տեղեկությունը փորձեցինք պաշտոնապես ճշտել պաշտպանության նախարարությունից՝ հարցրեցինք․ ճի՞շտ է, որ շուրջ 160 հայ զինվոր գտնվում է Իրանում, ՊՆ լրատվական վարչության ղեկավար Գևորգ Ալթունյանն ի պատասխան մեր հարցի, ասաց հետևյալը․ «Պաշտպանության նախարարությունն այս թեմայով մեկնաբանություն չունի»։
Մենք պաշտոնական պարզաբանման համար գրավոր հարցում ենք ուղարկել նաեւ արտաքին գործերի նախարարություն, և պատասխանը կներկայացնենք ստանալուն պես։
