Ինչպես հայտնի է, ՀՀ երրորդ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հայտարարել էր, որ այլևս չի զբաղեցնելու պետական բարձր պաշտոններ, քանի որ ավարտել է իր ծառայությունը Հայաստանի և հայ ժողովրդի առջև պետական բարձր պաշտոնում։ Այդ իսկ տրամաբանությամբ, «Պատիվ ունեմ» դաշինքի ցուցակը նա չէ գլխավորում: Միևնույն ժամանակ, երրորդ նախագահը նշել էր, որ ակտիվորեն մասնակցելու է քաղաքական գործընթացներին, այդ թվում՝ նախընտրական:
