«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է. ««Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթին մանրամասներ են հայտնի դարձել ՀՀ ԶՈւ գլխավոր շտաբի օպերատիվ գլխավոր վարչության պետ-ԳՇ պետի տեղակալ Էդվարդ Ասրյանի նշանակման գործընթացից: Ինչպես հայտնի է, վերջինս Զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբի նախկին պետ Օնիկ Գասպարյանի հայտարարության տակ ստորագրած 44 պաշտոնյաներից մեկն էր:

Բանն այն է, որ խորհրդարանական արտահերթ ընտրություններին ընդառաջ բոլոր խորհրդանշական 44 զինվորականներին ՊՆ վերնախավն իր մոտ է հրավիրում, փորձում շահագրգռել նրանց՝ տարբեր առաջարկություններ հնչեցնելով: Եվ, իհարկե, այդ առաջարկությունների շարքում առանձնահատուկ տեղ է գրավում նոր պաշտոնը: Եվ, ահա, մեր տեղեկություններով՝ ՊՆ-ում ներքին քննարկումներ են եղել, և շատերն այնքան էլ համակարծիք չեն եղել այն տեսակետի հետ, որ Ասրյանին պետք է նոր պաշտոնի նշանակել:
