«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
Երեկ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը տասնյակ ուղեկցող մեքենաներով, բոլոր քաղաքացիների համար ճանապարհները փակելով, վախեցած, միայն 1-2 լրատվամիջոցի հետ այցելել է Սարդարապատ: Մի խոսքով՝ հերթական «բարձունքն է գրավել», այսինքն՝ այս անգամ էլ իրականացրել է «Սարդարապատի առումը» օպերացիան: Հետո Երևանի վարչական շրջաններից մի քանիսում կազմակերպել է շոու՝ «կողմնակիցների հետ հանդիպում» անունով, որին մասնակցել է մի քանի տասնյակ մարդ, ընդ որում, մեր տեղեկություններով, մեծամասամբ թաղապետարանի աշխատակիցներ:
Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը, սովորության համաձայն, դարձյալ արդարացել է, մեղքը բարդել այլոց վրա, հերթապահ ձևակերպումներ արել, ակնհայտ ստերի հերթական չափաբաժինը նետել, բայց այդ ամբողջի մեջ միակ ուշագրավ արտահայտությունն ու միակ տրամաբանական, հասկանալի միտքը, որն արել է, հետևյալն է. «Մենք ամաչելու ոչ մի բան չունենք»: Իրականում, շատ իզուր էր մեր հանրությունը նրան երեկ ողջ օրը անարգանքի սյունին գամում այսպիսի արտահայտության համար: Փաշինյանը, առավել քան երբևէ, ճիշտ է ասել ու բացառիկ անկեղծ է գտնվել: Նախ՝ հասկանանք՝ ամաչելու համար ինչ պետք է ունենալ: Առաջին՝ հասկացողություն ու բանականություն, երկրորդ՝ բարոյականություն, երրորդ՝ արժանապատվություն, չորրորդ՝ պարզապես ամաչելու ունակություն:
Ըստ էության, սա պարզապես ինքնախոստովանություն է, որ իրենք այս ամենը չունեն: Դժվար է սա այլ կերպ գնահատել, քանզի չի կարող որևէ մարդ ամոթի զգացողություն չունենալ, երբ քո և միայն քո պատճառով պատերազմ է հրահրվել, հազարավոր զոհեր են եղել, Հայրենիքի մի հատվածի 75 տոկոսն է կորսվել, երկրիդ սահմաններին թշնամին «զվռնում» է: Կրկնում ենք՝ խոսքը գոնե ամոթի մասին է: Դեռ չենք խոսում պատասխանատվության ու մեղավորության զգացման մասին: Մնում է հասկանալ, թե մեր երկրում քանի մարդ կգտնվի, որ այսքանից հետո Փաշինյանի փոխարեն իր վրա կվերցնի մեղավորությունն ու պատասխանատվությունը և հետագա ողջ կյանքը կապրի ամոթի զգացումով...
