ՀՀ վարչապետի պաշտոնակատար Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի խոսնակ Մանե Գևորգյանն արձագանքել է Արա Այվազյանի՝ Արտաքին գործերի նախարարի պաշտոնից հրաժարական տալու պատճառների մասին հայտարարությանը:

«Մենք պարոն Այվազյանին շնորհակալություն ենք հայտնում կատարված աշխատանքի համար, այնուամենայնիվ կարծում ենք մեր պետական եւ ազգային շահը պարտադրում է, որ պարոն Այվազյանը հրապարակային պարզաբանի այդ ո՞վ, ե՞րբ, որտե՞ղ եւ ինչպե՞ս էր պատրաստվում ինչ-որ քայլ անել կամ որոշում կայացնել, որ հակասում է մեր երկրի պետական եւ ազգային շահին: Ակնկալում ենք, որ պարոն Այվազյանը հրապարակային կպարզաբանի դրանք»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում մեկնաբանելով Այվազյանի հայտարարությունը՝ նշել է Գևորգյանը:

Հիշեցնենք, որ Արա Այվազյանը մայիսի 31-ին ԱԳՆ-ում ունեցած հրաժեշտի հանդիպմանը հայտարարել է. «Ես շատ դժվարությամբ եմ այս որոշումն ընդունել, բայց երբ ստանձնել եմ այս պաշտոնը, ինձ համար եղել է մի չափանիշ. այս նախարարությունը, որ ծնունդն է անկախության, պետք է անշեղորեն պաշտպանի մեր ինքնիշխանությունը, մեր անկախությունը, մեր պետական, ազգային շահերը։ Հուսով եմ, որ ձեզ ամոթով չեմ թողել, և իմ հրաժարականի որոշումը պայմանավորված էր հենց այդ պատճառով, որպեսզի երբևիցե որևէ կասկած չլինի, որ այս նախարարությունը կարող է ինչ-որ քայլ անել կամ համաձայնություն տալ ինչ-որ գաղափարների, նախաձեռնությունների, որոնք մեր պետականության, մեր ազգային և պետական շահի դեմ են եղել»։
