«Դեկտեմբերը քաղաքական առումով ակտիվ ամիս չէ՝ այս ամսվա առաջին օրերից սկսվում է նախ տարեվերջյան ամփոփումևերի-հաշվետվությունների, ապա «խոզի բդի» մրցավազքի շրջանը։ Եվ ամեն տարի մենք հույս ենք փայփայում, որ հաջորդ տարեվերջն ավելի ուրախ ու հաղթական կլինի մեր ազգի համար, իսկ «խոզի բդի» մրցավազքը կփոխարինվի իրական ամանորյա ուրախ տրամադրությամբ և տոնական օրիգինալ միջոցառումներով։ Սակայն հաջորդ տարի կրկին ցավով արձանագրում ենք, որ այս տարին էլ գլորեցինք, և մեր կյանքում ոչինչ չփոխվեց, ոչ տարվա ցուցանիշներն են ուրախացնող, ոչ տոնական սեղանն է ավելի թեթև, ոչ էլ տոնն է բերկրանք պատճառող։ Մինչդեռ խանութները գրոհող մեր համաքաղաքացիներին հետևելով՝ չենք կարոդ չարձանագրել, որ մեր ժողովուրդը տոնի, ուրախության կարիք ունի։ Որ առօրյա հոգսն ու մաշող կարիքը հոգնեցրել է նրան, և նա փորձում է ինչ-որ չափով մոռանալ այն։

Եվ սեղան գցելու այս անհեթեթ ու սնանկացնող մրցավազքը հենց այդ առօրյայից կտրվելու, այն փոքր-ինչ գեղեցկացնելու իմաստ ունի ընդամենը։ Ինչու մեր հավաքական միտքը չի կարողանում Նոր տարվա տոնին ծիսական մոտեցում մշակել և ծանրաբեռնված սեղանների փոխարեն տոնական այլընտրանք առաջարկել հասարակությանը։ Եվ ինչպես է պատահում, որ ամեն տարի հսկայական ծախսեր անող և այդ ծախսերի պատճառով պարտքերի տակ ընկնող մեր ժողովուրդը չի կարողանում ազատագրվել այս տարեվերջյան կերուխումների գերությունից։ Չէ՝ որ դեկտեմբերին գնված մթերքի մի հսկա բաժին հունվարին նետվում է աղբանոց՝ ջուրը նետելով արյուն-քրտինքով վաստակած դրամները։ Մենք ավանդապաշտ ժողովուրդ ենք և «հեղափոխություններ» չենք սիրում և չենք հանդուրժում ոչ մտքի, ոչ կենցաղի, ոչ սովորույթների, ոչ էլ քաղաքական համակարգի ասպարեզում»,–գրում է թերթը։
