Ստրասբուրգի ապրիլյան նստաշրջանից հետո, երբ ես վերադարձա Երևան, ասացի, որ քարոզարշավի վերջին շաբաթում որոշակի թվով ռազմագերիներ ազատ են արձակվելու: Մեր ունեցած տեղեկություններով, նրանց թիվը պետք է լիներ 22-25, սակայն Ալիևն այդքան բարի չգտնվեց: Այս մասին մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ հայտարարեց Նաիրա Զոհրաբյանը:

«Ինչ էր եղել իրականում ու որտեղից ես գիտեի, որ Ալիևը, ի սատարումն իր կիրթ գործընկեր Նիկոլի, բաց էր թողնելու ռազմագերիներին:

Ստրասբուրգում ապրիլյան նստաշրջանի ժամանակ եվրոպացի իմ գործընկերներն ինձ տեղեկացրեցին, որ ադրբեջանական պատվիրակության անդամներն իրենց ասել են, որ շահագրգռված են, որ Հայաստանում իշխանության մնա Փաշինյանը, քանի որ իրենք իրենց անկլավները, որոնք եղել են Խորհրդային Միության ժամանակ, ուզում են վերցնել:

Ադրբեջանական պատվիրակության անդամներն ասել են, որ Ալիևը, ի սատարումը Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի, քարոզարշավի վերջին շաբաթում ազատ է արձակելու մի խումբ գերիների»։

Զոհրաբյանը նաև ասաց, որ ադրբեջանցի բոլոր պատգամավորներն ապրիլին Ստրասբուրգում ասում էին, որ ականապատ տարածքների քարտեզները թող Հայաստանը տա, կքննարկեն գերիներին վերադարձնելու հարցը. «Ինչո՞ւ նա այն ժամանակ չհանձնեց: Եթե այն ժամանակ տար, այն ժամանակ էին վերադարձնելու: Սակայն նա ձգեց մինչև քարոզարշավի վերջին շաբաթ»:
