«Միասնություն» շարժման ղեկավար Արման Վարդանյանը Ֆեյսբուքի իր էջում գրել է.

«Ժողովուրդը պատմության աղբանոցը կնետի հայ ազգին իրար դեմ հանող քաղաքական ուժերին:

Հետևելով քարոզարշավին և դրա հռետորաբանությանը` հասկանալի է դառնում, որ չնայած բազմաթիվ զգուշացումներին և առաջարկվող լուծումներին՝ քաղաքական առաջնորդներն ընտրեցին երկիրը խորը քաղաքական ճգնաժամի տանող, պոպուլիստական հայտարարություններով հանրությանը բևեռների բաժանող ճանապարհը, ինչն էլ կանխորոշում է յուրաքանչյուր կողմի համար ոչ ցանկալի արդյունքի դեպքում երկրում ներքին անկայունության հրահրման և ոչ ընտրական ճանապարհով իշխանության զավթման փորձը:
Ամբիոնները, որոնք նախատեսված են քաղաքական ելույթների ու երկխոսության համար, դարձել են ամբիցիաների ու քաղաքական երազախաբությունների թատերաբեմ: Այո՛, Հայաստանին ընտրություններ պետք են, այո՛ միանշանակ է, որ ժողովուրդը փոփոխություն է ուզում, սակայն պետք է մի կողմ դնել քաղաքական ամբիցիաները և մտածել պետության ու ժողովրդի մասին, չտանել երկիրը դեպի քաղաքացիական պատերազմի:
Ստեղծված իրավիճակը արդյունք է շղթայական սխալների, որոնց մասին, տարբեր հարթակներում, խոսել եմ ամիսներ շարունակ։
1․ Նախկինում ասել եմ՝ Հայաստանը անվտանգային և դիվանագիտական կոլապսի առաջ է կանգնած, սակայն քաղաքական ուժերի առաջնորդները, գործուն քայլերի փոխարեն, զբաղված են ընտրական ռեսուրսների մոբիլիզացիայով։ Ցավոք, դրան հաջորդեց ադրբեջանցիների կողմից նոր ծավալի ոտնձգությունները ՀՀ տարածքի նկատմամբ, ավելացավ գերիների թիվը։
2․Նշում էի, որ պետության այսպիսի վիճակը ենթադրում է բոլորովին այլ մոբիլիզացիա՝ հանրային, քաղաքական, ռազմական։ Մոբիլիզացիայի փոխարեն դիսկուրսը հիմնականում ընթանում է միմյանց նկատմամբ հնարավորինս կոշտ հռետորաբանության շրջանակում, իսկ իշխանությունն առավել հեռուն է գնացել՝ թավիշը պողպատով փոխարինելու սպառնալիքով։
3․ Պնդում էի, որ քաղաքական առաջնորդները պետք է հանդես գան միասնական՝ չփոշիացնելով ձայները, սակայն ընդդիմությունը ևս չհամախմբվեց և միատարր հանդես չեկավ, չկարողացավ իր 17 քաղաքական ուժերի կամ այլ ֆորմատով միավորման շրջանակներում հանդես գալ միասնական դիրքով, ինչի պատճառով` ընդդիմադիր դաշտին տրված քվեները կարող են բաշխվել առավել մեծ թվով քվեներ հավաքած ուժերի վրա՝ այդպիսով խեղաթյուրելով ընտրողների ակնկալիքների իրական պատկերը։
4․ Երկիրը ցնցումներից զերծ պահելու և հանդարտ հուն վերադարձնելու համար առաջարկում էի ստեղծել ռազմաքաղաքական խորհուրդ, սակայն քաղաքական առաջնորդները գերադասեցին գնալ կրքեր բորբոքելու և միմյանց նկատմամբ հակաքարոզչության ճանապարհով՝ այսպիսով փակելով երկխոսության ճանապարհը։
Սթափվեք, ժողովուրդը պատմության աղբանոցը կնետի բոլոր այն ուժերին, որոնք իրենց քաղաքական, խմբային շահերի համար միմյանց դեմ կհանեն հայ ազգի տարբեր հատվածներին և կփորձեն ժողովրդի ձեռքով «կրակից շագանակներ հանել»»:
